You should give an update on CDEs and how CDE providers like Autodesk and Procore are empowering construction companies to embrace the digital age. CDEs are the means to move away from manual paper processes as well as the means to integrate of disparate IoT devices (e.g. drones, site sensors, rfid tags for assets). We're going to see major gains in cost savings and fewer schedule delays over the next 5-10 years because of CDEs.
To when a video explaining the files organization inside CDE, based on BS1192? I think that all general concepts about BIM starts to be clear - 4D, 5D, WIP, Shared and so on... but, in my opinion, the problem remains in little things, as putting it all working concretely. Nevertheless, great work about explaining BIM.
+The B1M Ah I see. Because I tried to go through the PAS 1192-2 and some of your videos but I didn't manage to find a clear written difference between them. Thank you!
A few people have mentioned it but it's on the maybe pile for the moment! It is a bit UK-centric and we talk about the wider value proposition in a lot of our content. We have this in the meantime though: th-cam.com/video/kIRFppuHi0I/w-d-xo.html
The B1M Hi, Sorry about that I explain this again. The presentation slides that you are using on this video, is it downloadable or would you perhaps be able to Email those slides to me please? Cheers
shahin j Hi, we create our videos as animations in Adobe Premiere Pro CC, but you can access the imagery we used from PAS 1192-2 which is a free download here: shop.bsigroup.com/forms/pass/pas-1192-2. Hope that helps, if not let us know ;-)
The B1M ....and probably last night's dinner! Just kidding. Good work guys, I really like your channel. BIM is still being marketed as CAD-centric world, but for me, the whole life-cycle management of the CDE is the essence of BIM.
Tahir Ahmad Ah thanks! Really glad you like what we're doing. Having powerful data to hand is the whole value proposition. If we understand how buildings perform we can tailor our design and use of them accordingly. That then underpins numerous other industries and helps them to perform better, enhancing business outcomes for them and social outcomes for wider society. Digital Built Britain strategy is worth a read in terms of where things are going: digital-built-britain.com/

Came here looking for BIM Tips, leaving with beard goals!
You're welcome.
Hahahaha!
I'm back (with a Cracking Beard) 😆, any update for the ISO19650 standard...
Came for BIM knowledge ... had a good laugh over the comments about your beard . Awesome video series

the website does not have the PAS-1192 =-2 for free.
Is there a difference between CDE and the Information Model?
+Mousa Dahabreh Yes. The information model is hosted in the CDE. A CDE could host more than one Information Model... hope that makes sense?
+The B1M Ah I see. Because I tried to go through the PAS 1192-2 and some of your videos but I didn't manage to find a clear written difference between them. Thank you!
No worries. It's interesting you say that. Maybe we need a short clip on "CDE vs. Information Model" ...?
+The B1M Maybe GSL in 3 minutes video too? (:
