Ya & if he's above average,& reasonably healthy they still have as much talent as anybody in the West...should be below nobodv as favorites-at least to get to the Finals.
I agree. To an extent. Kuemper played amazing for them during that run. And the Avs were a brand new style of team that no one knew how to deal with. It was addressed immediately the next season. That following season, Georgie had good numbers. And they still fell early. Can’t say that was entirely Val’s fault in those last few games. Makar got a BS suspension. Eberle hurt an Av and didn’t get suspended. It was a BS round. But the team was beat. By a team that shouldn’t have been able to touch them. I wish they still had Zadorov or someone big. They need a big upfront and defensive presence. Now, some of the call ups have been doing it. Manson has been trying, of course he’s now out with injury. That guy who’s name starts with a P, and Kelly we’re rolling last night against PITT. Let’s hope they can keep it up. But we need some big fuggin hits. We’re getting out hit every game by absurd amounts. We need someone big on both ends to just be wrecking balls. To punish forecheck and backcheck. Otherwise…idk. I’m hopeful with this caliber of goalie tandem that we can do something similar, with everyone else healthy. I just wish we had someone to beat the sh*t out of the other team more consistently like the past two cup winners had.
