This is better than the etude (way harder too, even worse than the 1838 version). So unfortunate that it isn't played more often! One of Liszt's most thrilling works.
On a lot of these type of videos people usually write up paragraphs about the piece, it's history and stuff. Since I'm usually not bothered to do that I just put whatever in the description and at least the bare minimum about the piece and what I think of the pianist, if I love the pianist I usually write up an entire line about why they are pretty good.
A far cry from Un Sospiro and Au Lac de Wallenstadt. This is full of technical difficulties, and it doesn't really gel musically. I'd hate to be the poor soul playing it !

I love Liszt but this piece is terrible , it's played too fast of course , but even slower I don't think this could be better , for me it's a musical nonsense , boring and ugly
These La campanella fantasies (S.420, S.700a/i and S.700a/ii) are not really good pieces, they have some cool ideas but they aren't meshed well. You'll get more enjoyment out of them by listening to specific sections of the works rather than the entire thing in one go.
Hearing this I know why it is so seldomly played. It's not worth the effort to learn. Loads of technical difficulties and a meandering structure, overladen textures. Liszt still had a lot to learn to how to balance a piece between structure and technical demands. This is pretty weak.
