Awesome timing on a new block! I’ve wanted to make an easy red and white quilt! Thank you so very much for posting this tutorial! Off to cut fabric for it!❤️❤️❤️😀
Pretty block, great colors, good demonstration. Just one question: why did you cut all those two inch pieces and sew them individually when you could have sewn two strips together and then sub cut to make the four patches?
I use those little silicone adhesive cabinet door cushions for the bottom of all my rulers. With very little pressure they hold the fabric still while you cut/trim.
I would like to suggest that you teach one method because flipping back an forth can be confusing. Instead of Blocking your demo with your arm, rotate your project. It’s important to match your seams. There are a lot of small tips you can mention to ensure the success of your viewers. I love this block and would like to be able to see the viewer’s blocks. The viewer can buy a Square Up ruler that takes the guess work out.
Beautiful block, you have good technique skills. Why is your needle moved so far to the left. I see you seam guide and that you have made a tidy 1/4 " seam, but it looks strange to me. I have always centered my needle. The feed dogs do their best work if the needle is centered. Let the machine help you do your best work .Enjoyed the video, please keep sewing, this from a 70 year old seamstress, longarm quilter, teacher.
I do say the measurements in the video, however if you want them typed out you can join my channel I do post a picture with the block sizes for members 😊
Catching up on some of your older videos. Easy!

This reminds me of a Jacob’s ladder. Pretty block
This is a very old block pattern. I have a 1930s vintage quilt made of this block pattern.
I really like that block! And the fabrics are nice, too. The green fabric is an especially good choice, because it's the "grassy" part of the block! 😊
Thank you💚
