So what you are saying is they are not delivering any of the trucks that they are required to deliver. I was one of the Marines that did the first testing of the Hummer to me it was perfect up to the last two wars. Plus it also has been in service for 33 or more. My comment ment I would like to drive one that all.

    • @dannykh22asirify

@@WalterCarson they're delivering. The issue is the same as it was for their M-ATV. OPNET training has commenced for USMC at I MEF and II MEF but the inherent flaw with such a complex networked vehicle monitoring system will cause maintenance nightmares. I pray that they figure it out because the Marines need that capability more so in my opinion than the Army as Marines have been the tip of the spear for combat missions in the last two wars at the very least. We'll have to see how it all plays out. Good bless you for your service. The mishap at ft. Stewart doesn't give me high hopes though unfortunately.

Don't underestimate our military members. If the 18 year old was a civilian , maybe. Like everything else , the is a MOS for"vehicle operator".. You sound like one of the 71% that don"t even qualify for entry for physical or educational or "other" reasons. How dare you. I was a 64C @ 19 yrs old in Germany and it was no cakewalk and I drove almost every type of wheeled vehicle in the Army's inventory and in the early 70's they were not nearly as sophisticated as today's. I got plenty of them bogged down but never flipped any. Even the notorious Jeep. Play on.

Less rollable than the MATV they're based on. Or rather that inspired them. All mine resistant vehicles are going to be top heavier though. Same with high clearance off road vehicles. You want lots of armor off the ground so it's always a trade off between width, armor and ground clearance. The suspension handles the height pretty well for all that height and weight though.

relying on hydrolic shocks for the suspension in a combat vhicle? bad idea! hydrolic line gets torn, air compressor malfunctions, air line gets torn or freezes, rod gets bent, and its no longer driveable. auxillary airbags or hydrolics for load leveling plus simple springs as primary suspension would be a much better choice choice.
