That's bullshit i tried it to send message to my friend ,he was sitting besides me and his phone was on the table ,even after sending him message it still shows read ,Whereas it was not.Try yourself ..!
hello, this is not true, even if the message sent only have 1 mark which signifies not delivered, and you highlited the message it will still show blue double mark nd delivered, meanwhile it is till not yet delivered.

The two blue or gray ticks under "i" icon (or info icon) doesn't necessarily mean a message is read or delivered, it what shows under the blue or gray ticks that matters. If you see a timestamp under either, then what you've seen is when a message was read (in the case of blueticks) or delivered (in the case of grayticks). What you've shown us is just a dash under the blueticks, and yet you say it's an indication that a message have been read. Am afraid that's misleading and you might consider correcting yourself.
