Katie is simply an AMAZING songwriter & performer. Period. We saw her in concert last night in Santa Barbara...& she blew us away! We hope she makes it BIG.
Something like the Stones' "Country Honk" to the more highly orchestrated "Honky Tonk Woman"? The opening minute and a bit of Zep's original is sheer magic, but this duo manages to be haunting throughout. Verdaderamente incantadora.
The song wasn't so popular in it's day. Both Grace Potter and Katie & Andrea covered it. The old songs that the kids cover are not the main song on the album. Nobody wants to hear Stairway again.
I love women and I love music, and this is a fantastic song .. but these attractive women in their own right ... the way they allowed themselves to appear in this video just seems inappropriate and distasteful. Their appearance just screams trashy. I think they are attractive but no dressed like this and especially, not for this song. I don't even know what the right way is but it's not this way, that's for sure. Also, their attempt seems uninspired with little to no emotion. If you're going to attempt this song, you need to bring your A-game and on all levels. More importantly, a song like this needs to come from the soul.
