That's an amazing cabinet ... I have had a very similar cabinet in my head bouncing around for years and I've never seen one .. thank you for showing us your work ...
Just found you this morning before heading off to work....I definitely needed something like this...my shop is so small, so cluttered....thank you!! Cheers from the great white north
Me too but it was partly the camera angle. When I'm doing somewhat narrow cuts I keep my pinky hooked on the fence. I know it won't stop a bad situation from getting worse but it gives me a tactile reminder of where my hand is. When a push block is needed I really like the 'Optimum push block', your hand can't easily slide down or off of it. Not my idea, got it here: th-cam.com/video/NOgtKbWjLlw/w-d-xo.html
Love these style “multi” cabinets. Hi sub’d because of this. Thanks for the great videos. This cabinet is great for anyone doing metal working for storing all the calipers, mic’s, and other precision tools. It helps keep the dust out of them as you mentioned.
I found your channel this morning and I must say your videos are amazing. People are really missing out by not watching. I will be sharing with everyone I know
I was looking for a project like this for a while and I found yours now, I'm going to do it in my workshop, thank you very much, greetings from Brazil! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Another br guy here looking for ideas lol , i just bought my house and I'm very handy so I want to build something to storage my tools and I hate those peg boards 😅
THIS is EXACTLY what I wanted / was trying to do (plan). THANK YOU!. The only issue you'll face is having a project on the bench in front of the cabinet that blocks the doors from opening and is mounted or big and heavy. (From experience: think horizontal shaft 5hp engine etc). You'll inevitably need SOMETHING in the cabinet and project will be in the way. I was thinking 3/4 doors that could still open ABOVE said project.
Ain't that the truth. I have stuff all over the place right now and haven't put a single tool in it yet. Check out Dekay Crafts. He has really good ideas. Also Woodshop Junkies
There is an uneven gap in the middle of the front section. Consider on better alignments, other than that, it is an excellent idea and good job. Thanks,
Excellent use of space. I'm a long time cabinetmaker, but internet novice. Where can I purchase the plans - I'd just as soon not reinvent the wheel as well as support your site. Thank you.
Just put out a video of a flip up workbench. Same design as the miter saw and same hardware. th-cam.com/video/SP_LdnVuUHs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sII8HVYiklK-Oof1
I think i felt a little bit of stress in the first 10 seoconds of this video. I'm sorting every single socket, nut, bolt bracket, spring, tape, bearing, strap, cord, drill, shovel, pencil, wire, liquid, ladder, file, bulb, level, hammer, shear, plane, sander, screw, ruler, cap , screw, pin-.......... every damn single object will have a home before monday.
Good luck. I like the crayon boxes from Walmart. They come in all different sizes and are clear or translucent colors. Stack neatly and most importantly they're cheap.
Thanks for a great project, well spoken, good plans ... but... I'm pretty sure I got the cut sheet right , but just checking. BACK T&B is 4 3/4" wide FRONT T&B is 1 1/4" wide Mid T&B is 2 3/4" wide? Newbie here, thanks for helping me enjoy my second life, my senior life (69 yrs old this XMAS)...retired and building a woodshop.
Thank you. Below is a link to the cut list download. There are a few spots where it says 'account for kerfs'. You need to make it wider by enough for the saw blade kerfs, usually 1/8". Back section 4 3/4" Middle section 4 3/4" Front section 2 3/4" housedoctorray.com/plans

I love your practical ideas. Simple things like using pegboard for lining up holes!
Thank you.
Great idea. I'm going to use your principles but have to make mine a bit taller but not so wide. Thanks for taking the tme to show this.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. It really means a lot.
Kitchen cabinets should be built like this😍
I have seen a couple of builds where people modified their pantry cabinets to have swing out shelving like this.
A thousand times YES!
Oh NoWay I was surprised when you opened up the inside cabinets. 👍👍👍outstanding
Thanks, glad you liked it.
Very inspirational. Thanks fella.
Thank you Joe.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with it.

Glad you found me. Hope you'll be back.
Nice job...I'm probably just a nervous ER doctor, but I cringed a few times when your fingers got close to the blade...be safe :)

Thanks Ken and thanks for the sub.
Great work! Thanks. I really appreciate how you build in ways to make things simple and accurately.
Thanks Andrew.

Awesome! Thank you so much.
Great idea! Thank you :)
Thank you and thanks for watching.
Great Idea!!
Did these small hinges keep all the load inside? The gap between the doors is not equal even unloaded...
I had to add an ⅛" metal plate to support the doors in the center. Somewhere in the comments someone put a link to heavy duty piano hinges.
That's dope
Thanks Brad.
I was looking for a project like this for a while and I found yours now, I'm going to do it in my workshop, thank you very much, greetings from Brazil! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Greetings. I hope for your sake plywood is cheaper there. We're still at least double pre-covid prices.
Another br guy here looking for ideas lol , i just bought my house and I'm very handy so I want to build something to storage my tools and I hate those peg boards 😅
Very impressive great work really useful
Thanks Paul.
My OCD is kicking. Nice plan.
Thanks. I just keep looking at it empty trying to figure out where to start.
You are too smart !!!
Thanks

Your garage looked awesome before you even started this project, I need help to clean out my garage
Now's the perfect time. Get a bunch of totes that are on sale and start sorting.
Then build your cabinet.
This is really nifty, but I'd be interested to know how well it will hold up once the doors are loaded with a lot of heavyish tools. Subscribed!
I'm interested too. I'm finishing up my workbench now. Next project is loading up the cabinet.
Thanks for subscribing.
Ottimo lavoro per caso puoi inviarmi il progetto?
Fantastic idea!!!. Was 3/4 inch plywood used for the entire project? Please assist. - Cape Town South Africa
Yes it is all ¾ or 19mm. Makes it fairly heavy but I think anything thinner would twist too much.
@@HouseDoctorRay Thank you very much. Keep up the good work..!!

Thanks,
Great job I was looking to build something like this I sure will definitely look for your plans thanks for sharing. Just got a new subscriber
Awesome! Thanks for the subscription.
Great build!! Have you done anything with storage yet?
Thanks. No, I haven't done anything yet. I'll probably put up a video when I do
Might you have plans for this?

Got a video or plans for the miter saw station? Great idea
Thanks. Not yet.

I looked for a video of how you stored/mounted the tools in the cabinet - any chance for an update?
There's a link. In the comments.
Inside storage French cleats?
Yes. I already made a few.

Heben die Klavierbänder noch?
They sagged a little but I just added a block to the doors to keep them aligned.

What width is the plywood? Think I might have missed in the video
I used 3/4" big box birch plywood.
Buy magnet bars from Harbor Freight, that's what I did...
Thanks, I'll check them out.
Do you have plans for this?
Never mind, I was a bit to quick to ask. Video hadn't finished 🤣
Thanks for a great project, well spoken, good plans ... but... I'm pretty sure I got the cut sheet right , but just checking.
