Concepts is very good for hand-written notes/sketches. It's not the best in any category it covers, but its strong point is to be enough in most of the cases, making it easy to save your thoughts fast enough, and it has some pretty advanced features as well, like brushes, rulers, layers or templates.
Awesome video, extremely well put together - editing, information, and engagement were on point man! I will definitely be coming back if i need ideas for ipad workflow in the future 😎
if it doesnt freeze up after 10 mins of using it, then it would definitely be the best... but also its not that good with exporting your notes as pdf. the way it separates your notes into diff pages is weird
Bear has added the capacity to handwrite within the app. It now searches these handwritten notes as well. Does the same for images of my handwriting that I bring in from my e-ink tablet. It has become a very good all around app. Not as simple as one might think.
I think my challenge with Bear is that it reminded me too much of Evernote. Nice clean interface though! I might give it another try sometime (that handwriting image trick is very cool).
@@Andre_modest Now AI does more good job to study. It creates flash cards . Did you ever face Remnote hanging during your works ? I used to face lots of slowness during works with Remnote.
I recorded this using the beta of iPadOS18. Some nice tricks there (like handwriting tidy up), but until Apple Intelligence arrives I’m holding off going all in on Notes. I’ll make a deep dive once some of the AI features are released.
Would you say these apps would be good for someone who has dyslexia and short attention span so adhd? I’m looking to change the colour of the backgrounds when writing as I noticed doing things like that helps a lot
Hi Rebecca. Two things: 1) Craft has a dedicated 'Focus' button that pulls away all other menus/tabs when you're writing in one click. This might be helpful. 2) Milanote has a number of appearance amends that you can make to improve legibility. I have a few other friends (also creators) with ADHD who have all said that Milanote helps.
I am looking for an app where I can take handwritten notes but then I want it to be converted automatically to typed text. Basically I want the handwriting experience while taking notes but don't want my final notes to be in the handwritten format. I have started taking notes using Notion as it has many features in the free version and I can use it on Windows as well but it doesn't have handwriting support. Can you suggest any app or a combination?
@@ThatMarkGilroy Thanks. Does Goodnotes 6 support syncing between Apple and Windows? Their website says "Sync between Apple and Android/Windows coming soon!"
I want to love Milanote, but it's lacking offline mode, the iphone app is crap (I know the new ap is close to launch, but that's not the biggest issue), the scroll/zoom engine they use is really buggy (idk why this is)... I just stuck to apple notes/reminders/calendar coz I'm sick of trying new notes apps 😂
When you’re talking about Milanote, you briefly showed your stylus. Is that an Apple Pencil? What sleeve do you have on it? It looks like a pen. :) It looks cool. :)
Hi! Yep, I like to customise my Apple Pencil. The grip on there is from Paperlike too along with the custom tips. The black/white design is a dbrand skin. They come in packs of three. The annoying thing is that you can only buy them with an iPad skin, but they’re really nice!!
@@ThatMarkGilroy idk but many are reporting the same, I checked in iPad analytics when I was using apple notes with my pencil , cpu usage was more than 80-90 percent . And note app is lagging when writing, apple need to fix this bug.
Just take down the notes ! What the actual hell is this app that app. Apple Notes is the everything you need. These apps with supposedly 'extra' features are just there to distract you with gimmicks rather than actually improving the overall productivity.

Free notes is really good and easy to use with everything most people need. Pretty underrated too

All I need from apple notes is a zoom in feature. Everything else like refined handwriting and ai features are awesome.

Apple Notes for the win! So easy to use and it looks and feels the same across all of my devices.

Milanote every time! It’s so versatile.

It’s a really powerful app! Glad to have been of service 🫡
What's your go-to note-taking app of choice?
Bro, my note-taking app choice is CRAFT. It works seamlessly for apple ecosystem.
Remnote, mostly because it's the best app to study
@@Andre_modest Now AI does more good job to study. It creates flash cards .

@@Andre_modest that makes sense. I’d have loved a tool like that when I was at school.
Because I mostly write, Nebo.
You can access apple notes on pc as well
DID NOT KNOW THAT!! Is that via iCloud.com or is there a dedicated app?
Nebo is great for handwritten notes.

I swear by Reflect!! Like Obsidian but less of a learning curve and AI
Ah, never heard of that one. I’ll take a look!
Reflect doesn't have a free tier and it's only available on Apple devices. That's a big limit. it's not even available on Android

Pleased to report that Goodnotes 6 can do this.

I can’t test that I’m afraid as I’m fully in the Max ecosystem. But can confirm the syncing there works flawlessly.
