They had to load the stones from a distance and still all athletes managed to lift at least 4 stones in a good time. One of the best collective performances ever on stones in my opinion. The average level of talent is nuts.
Was rooting for Novikov this year, but seeing Tom win by 10.5 points was absolutely insane. The man could've literally sat out an event and still won. Between Tom being a beast, Novikov looking like Pudzianowski the second, Brian going for his fifth, Licis finally healthy, and Mitchell Hooper the super rookie, this was one crazy final.
Imagine if Tom makes 3 in a row, Brian rips the 5th one or Kieliszkowski finally achieves the title! What ever happens, you can be sure a young moose comes to play along.

@@gotzvonunentberlichingen1452 that's true. I mean, Thor is such a beast that he came in 2nd place in 2019 while injured. If he had come back to WSM in 2020 he probably would have beaten Oleksii. @@petershortland478 I think it should be more about lifting the stones. Shouldn't have to worry if the podium will tip over. I know Tom is tall, but Terry looks to be equal in height, Tom's curly hair gives him the edge. I know Terry is tall, but damn.
That’s an angle thing. It’s hard to tell how tall people are from below.
Also Tom just did the atlas stones so his spine is solidly compressed.

Tom is 6'8 and Terry is 6'6 is not muc h of a difference
