Hi songod just watched you on chris must list channel, you and your bro come across really well. This interview was good, keep up the great work and keep doing you brother. Do more interviews like this but longer 🙏🙏
Thank you bringing us these testimonies from community members. As a youth I have seen alot of the issues that are stopping our communities from getting what they need and deserve. The intergenerational issues that have burdened our communities here in New Mexico are due to alot of political obstacles, our state legislature shuts down legislation that makes pathways so working class people like us can be in those seats at those tables to be able to make informed decisions about the daily issues that overburden our communities. Thus putting all of the weight on everyday working class people to come up with their own ways of supporting our community members. we see many organizations lacking funding also, one of the orgs im currently a part of as is suing the state for failure to protect our water, air and our right toward a clean environment. Environment injustice has overburdened our communities like the kirkland oil spill that caused oil to leak under the warzone for years without our knowledge.. Now that we understand as a community all of the compounding issues that face us like environmental injustice, economic injustice, no affordable housing yet we are criminalized for sleeping on the streets. The working class people of new mexico are more policed and criminalized for exersising the only option they have left such as sleeping on the street, yet one of our city council politicians Dan Lewis likes to intervene in the air quality and control board, which seeks to stop further pollution as we have an F for air quality in abq currently. So we have unhoused people criminalized for being unhoused, yet a politician with big oil intrests can intervene in meetings meant to protect our air. This is the type of behavior normalized in our city council and state legislature, we have alot of oil money wrapped up in the legislature and any working class people like us do not stand a chance at being in those higher up positions and thats a clear sign of injustice & thats what we have to face each day is injustice, it is time for those who perpetuate injustice to be given a reality check. When people who govern our society and act with impunity, arent held accountable for it... they get used to that. And when the people that make up our working class neighborhoods, cannot vote harmful politicians out we feel the weight the of the political decesions the more & for longer period of time we end up dealing with pollution in our backyards while they enjoy their privelages. this is why this testimony and the others you have shared are so important. it allows me to see the real work and the task at hand. we have alot of work to do and organizign in our xommunities if we want to improve the conditions for us all and we really are all we got is our community. We deserve self determination, we deserve justice that doesnt come with delays we needed justice yesterday.
Thanks for putting these out there. I can't believe that he can't get help because of the warrant or get help with the warrant. That's something that needs to change 🕊
