Andy was a pure artist in that he was like a mirror. He just reflected the 20th Century back at itself, like a mirror, without passing any comment on it, without judging it, without drawing any conclusions. Comments, judgements and conclusions are the business of writers and critics. He didn't regard that as his job. Not all his work is great, but there's enough that is.
i wonder if those things would have existed even; just think of all the possibilities of things andy could have done later in his life besides the photography and films..
@@madeleine8662 Either he would've tried to develop his own platforms or he would've been an early adopter of the ones we know. I think he would've created his own channels just interviewing people he found interesting, trying to create modern superstars.
Also, speed made the factory people, including Andy, hard as nails, and they often came off as cold and unfeeling. People on speed march to a different drummer. They have their own mentality; they almost speak a different language. And it can be as cold as ice.
Andy Warhols art will.never.be.forgotten. 🌼 It is very unique. Made to look simple. But very complicated to do. An eccentric & very artistically talented man.
Andy had a platform already for his art .he worked many yrs. Then the Factory days was him recreating his ideas for art ...he starting tinkering with film an trying to produce...Andy was A queen an used ppl for ideas( inspiration)cuz he would run in circle of Ppl like Edie, ..

Ohh Andy, I can watch documentaries about you without ever getting bored, It's magic! Thanks John Cale!

loved the commercial by Ron Howard on directing
Warhol movies are brilliant .
I wishy Andy Warhol was alive today. I wonder what he would make of TH-cam, Instagram, tiktok.

1996 was like 100 years ago.
So was 1922
Sad but true
You sound very young.
@@ellie-tk4jy I'm a zygote
John Cale looks like Lurch here and that's a good thing....
No it's a bad thing. He can be handsome and ugly. This isn't his best look.
Always.
Don’t forget to put the swear words in this song ❤️😲
Not a mean bone in his body? What about when he said if Edie Sedgwick commits suicide he hopes she tells them so they can film it?
I am sure he said it to sound cold and for shock value. He also said that he wondered if she left him some money.
Also, speed made the factory people, including Andy, hard as nails, and they often came off as cold and unfeeling. People on speed march to a different drummer. They have their own mentality; they almost speak a different language. And it can be as cold as ice.
This is bullshit and also a lie
Typical of an artist...once or twice removed. I think that the autistic observation is on the mark.
Nah, it's an artistic statement.
and others, haha
This interview was awkward asf
Oh, I think he will be forgotten.
Who will be forgotten?
Andy Warhols art
will.never.be.forgotten. 🌼
It is very unique. Made to look simple. But very complicated to do.
An eccentric & very artistically talented man.
Probably not.
Robert Rosenblum is so severely out of touch in this interview.
How so?
Andy had a platform already for his art .he worked many yrs. Then the Factory days was him recreating his ideas for art ...he starting tinkering with film an trying to produce...Andy was A queen an used ppl for ideas( inspiration)cuz he would run in circle of Ppl like Edie,
..
I like that line you say Andy was a Queen! Any other modern artists you consider a king or queen?
I always though of Andy as a can of Campbell soup ....
Yeah. Me too. I definitely wouldn't regard him as homemade chicken soup.
Thats was his goal. “There is Andy Warhol”. Even he would say its superficial if he evolved long enough
He was autistic and a great. draughtsman .
And a misogynist
#BILLYGETTYCHEZCLAIRE1994
John Cale is drab.
Lol he's Welsh. Like the Russians, they're miserable.
Cale = Frankenstein?
He was a monster
@Wineinmyfeet physically or as a man?
Why are these characters boring AF?!
That’s Kale, man. He’s a founder of modern music and culture.
@travis tolin no it's John Cale with a C. He's a man not a green vegetable.
@Trte Mrte you sound young and spoilt. Do you need explosions every 5 minutes and to climb up from level one?
