I’m 19, and my father passed away when I was 15. Toto was his absolute favorite band (we were fortunate enough to have been to a concert together.) This song was played in his funeral (chosen by myself), and it means so much to me. It hits home every damn time. I love this band, and their music so much. I’ve grown up listening to them, and I’m happy to have such an amazing music influence! Xx

The power of love and music. I just lost my dad but we had 56 years together and he was just shy of 90. I feel like you whenever I hear Lou Rawls, "you'll never find". I can see him, tapping his ring on the steering wheel, smoking a Lucky Strike,(a WWI PURPLE HEART IN PACIFIC 1ST MARINE). That is the beauty of the soundtrack of life. They may not be here, a note, a song, a joke, expression will take you back to that special moment when you were with your Dad. God bless you and know that he is a part of you, your DNA and your gentle soul!

This guitar solo is not from this world...yes, humans can try and play it, but Steve is not human...he must be an alien from a guitar galaxy far far away....simply incredible.

The depth of talent in Toto over the years is eclipsed by few bands. The musicality as well. The under-appreciation in the US is tragic. They are a musical treasure truly overlooked here.
Unless you are a true TOTO fan, you cannot imagine how multi-faceted this band is. And hats off to Luke for holding it together for 40 years. This song, "How does it Feel", and "Gift of Faith" are masterpieces! (Along with about every other song they recorded... )

Well, "I will remember" was released on "Tambu" in 1995, that's 28 years ago now, not 40 years ;-) Steve Lukather clearly sounds more raspy than 40 years ago but still good.

Agree a 100%. I am a huge Beatles fan, I am a huge Alan Parsons guy and I fucking love Led Zeppelin. But Toto is just 1 inch above them all.

Great live version of "I Will Remember," from Toto's 2019 - 40 Tours Around The Sun. Steve Lukather. Amazing guitarist, musician, legacy. Worked in major recording studio sessions at such a young age, in L.A. Recording with major world class artists like Michael Jackson (Thriller LP), Paul McCartney, during his twenties. Along with Toto, solo, Ringo Starr Band. Becoming closest of friends with Eddie Van Halen. Quite remarkable.
Steve shows why he was one of the most requested session players. Who wouldn't want a solo like that in their song? :)

Best live band ever. I started to be a fan in the mid 80s when I still attended school. Later on I was able to go to concerts, probably 10+ TOTO concerts by now. Read Lukes autobiography. They are just fab.

This is one of those songs,when being touched,it always is going being a part of you. It honestly makes me emotional every time , when i hear this song. Now more then ever.
To add some information. Both of my parents died due cancer. My mom at the age of 64 in 2016 due brain cancer,my dad in 2019 at 72 due stomach cancer .
For those in the same position as mine. .. if you don't trust "it" , get help. Also when the need to talk about it,do it. I know from my own xp that you can't handle this alone..

I was lucky enough to see their 2nd to last concert last October. I still can't believe they will not longer tour together. Breaks my heart. GREAT band. First saw them in 1981. RIP all the former members who have passed on.

I discovered this song in 1997. Still one of my favourites...
I discovered toto in the covid times and listened to their song ever since. This song particulary remind me of old days when everything was so simple ....less technology more family get together ...also times when i was young and fell in love for the first time felt that i was invicible that nothing could ever reach me till she died on my lap in a bus accident ....

Absolutely love this song. So them in Falun Sweden back in 1996, it was fantastic. Mr lukather is struggling with the notes but did a ok live performance. Toto is one of the best bands to have ever exited.
