If you zoom in close, you can see that ChatGPT did come up with the pain point examples Sean expressed. Oopsie doopsie. All the more reason to _think carefully and for a while_ about what the algorithms miss, and what will allow you to make your copy stand out and avoid cliches.
Summarized - see video for specific details: 1) Actually use the product/service yourself & write down your own impressions & outcomes 2) In person interviews with actual users 3) Go undercover: find out where the users lurk/hang out, then interview them as if you're a user yourself 4) Read books/source material 5) 9:00 Go 1 step beyond chatgpt
Great content as always ✨. By the way, teachers I have a question. So I just got started with copywriting a couple of weeks ago and have watched your course for copywriting. Thanks to that I have understood most of the things. However, I was wondering how can I practice to get better for the time until I get a basic idea about how to approach copywriting. Do you guys have any advice on that?
Thanks for sharing these advanced research techniques for copywriting. How do you personally prioritize these methods, and do you have any tips for balancing them effectively in your research process?
It depends on the project, the product, the idea! Some projects it makes sense to read a book on the topic first to learn the basics before you test it or talk to people. Sometimes that's not possible, so we might start with talking to customers or experts. No one process works for every situation.
Thanks for sharing these advanced research techniques for copywriting! It's clear that thorough research and unique insights can make a huge difference in the quality of copy. Keep it up.👏👏
Hey @copy that, I'm confused. I am a complete beginner in the copywriting. What should I start with, 1.copy writing guide course Or 2. 21 days copywriting. They both seem equally important to me to learn be a good copywriter. It will be really helpful if you share what should I start and finish first .😊😊
Hey! We still need to clarify and simplify our funnel, but you will find a lot of overlap between the Quickstart guide on our website and the 21 day email course. Both of them pull, by the way, from the body of videos we have published on TH-cam (you can just go to our channel and sort videos by popular to see everything in those resources). They exist mainly to give you structure and a reasonable sequence... so do not feel confused. Either place or neither place should help you, but I think, for true beginners? The Quickstart guide will help you the most.
@@CopyThat Thanks for replying and clearing up my confusion. I'm really glad that I started learning copywriting from this channel. I hope to be a good copywriter by learning from you guys. ☺☺
Actually ChatGPT can dig into those deeply emotional and uncommon pain points if you know how to ask it correctly. 🙈 It's pretty good at this too. Better than I can do on my own.
Might I add, after much research, many books purchased, and endless TH-cam perusing, to start to limit the voices in your head, meaning the people you follow on platforms like TH-cam, Twitter, Facebook etc. You will be in a perpetual state of analysis paralysis as I have been in, when you’re looking for the same answers in 100 different places. Find ONE reputable source, and listen to them ONLY, starting off. TH-cam makes it TOO easy with their algorithm to suggest new “gurus” with your same interests to find you. FrFr.

The ChatGPT example was a great reason to think deeper about copy. That'll be the best way for a copywriter to stay relevant & fresh!
This has gotta be the most underrated channel
Alex, your American accent is AMAZING, bro
If there was a thumbnail copywriter, then you guys already hired one. Genuinely made me click this in my feed.
So grateful I found this channel

Thank you! Was about to say the exact same thing. People have no idea how to operate the tool properly, then complaining it's not working.
Chatgpt is more optimistic than linkedin peeps
