This was the third Discworld book I ever read, but the first one I really, really loved and the catalyst for my obsession with Discworld. Never before had I immediately restarted a book I had just finished reading.
Its not my favourite Discworld book anymore, but it has a special place in my heart.

I liked that you did the speaking in capitals for THE DUTY

The Gilbert Principle I was getting so confused why I didn’t relate to the good omens death. Amazing video btw! Really awesome!! Loving the series... and the cabbettice

As a first time cabbage grower (my crop is just starting to grow hearts) and a Pratchett fan my interest is piqued to the point of enthusiastic curiosity.
    Looking forward to tonight x

ooh - so you may be disappointed. I had an issue finding a cabbage (but now want to grow some! I planted my first ever bit of garden this year!)

I thoroughly enjoyed your review! Mort has always been my favourite Discworld character, followed closely by Rincewind. I would love to hear your review of Equal Rites.

Thanks! This review doesn’t seem to be as popular as the equal rites one Here’s the link!

Replying to your comments in turn - if they had made it 20 years earlier DJ would have been fine. But still I expected skinny not short sand stocky (but I can get over it)
Phew - I was worried about adding the intermission in. I accidentally filmed like a 10 minute convo with my boyfriend about if we should have a curry for tea. We decided not to.
And we all have existential crises. Let’s all join together and not get at anyone ;-)

I dont get why you're comparing Death to Good Omens,- which isn't Discworld, - And not to his early stuff, -Rincewind! Death kills insects for the fun of it. Because he's angry that Rincewind has magic in his life and his death hour glass.
Death is a very different kettle of fish in Pratchetts first two books than the rest.
Seems like a glaring omission to me.

Because you asked, “reading the nodes” is a reference to determining time on complex astrological charts. Contextually it seems more like reading the runes which express the will of the Fates (or Norns in Norse Mythology). These are the 3 sisters who spin, measure, & cut the “thread” of a human life. Sir Terry is not above mishmashing references.
Sadly, it appears that you are no longer producing videos. One hopes you might resume in near future.
    GNU Sir Terry

Yes, please. You have a charming take on the content… especially as you’ve enjoyed Discworld from a young age.
I didn’t find this series until my forties.
Take your own pace. Just be kind enough to send out notifications when you resume.
You’ve undertaken a very long term creative project. Taking a break is essential for any such endeavor.
I wish you good luck & happiness whichever path you choose.
(Regardless, you may like to know that your work found an appreciative audience here in Louisville, KY.)
