  • The iconic Tiger Woods made his first Open Championship appearance in 1995 as an exciting prospect. Fast forward to The Open in 1997, the American had turned pro and was the newly crowned Masters champion.
So the 126th Open was Tiger's first as a professional golfer. This meant that the eyes of the world were expectantly watching to see what he would do and if he'd be able to conquer Royal Troon.
The then 21-year-old, finished the 1997 Open tied for 27th place, a disappointing result in comparison to his future successes, but the tournament was not completely negative for Woods.
After making the cut, he played a great third round of 66, which catapulted him into the top 10 going into the final day.
We've dug through The Open archives to bring you every televised shot from this fantastic round.
