Contested each May, the PGA Championship is the second major championship in golf’s annual rotation, and perennially features the strongest field in the men's game based on the Official World Golf Rankings. Known for dramatic finishes and notable champions, the Wanamaker Trophy-which has been awarded to the winner since 1916-is inscribed with names such as McIlroy, Woods, Nicklaus, and Player. The 2024 PGA Championship is set to take place between May 16-19 at Valhalla Golf Club. The reigning champion is Brooks Koepka.

The effort to redefine golf to stop Tiger's greatness accumulated here.
The courses were longer.
The ruff was deeper.
The distractions were magnified.
Watching him navigate this minefield was priceless.
Thank you GOAT.
20:25 i feel ya Tiger
If Tiger had won it would just be known as his 15th major win. Instead its one of the biggest upsets in the history of golf
F-bomb after the first putt is never a good sign
I still remember the announcer's call - "Hello YE Yang, my name is Tiger Woods" after he stuffed his approach on the 1st hole, it was all matter of how many shots he wins by. Biggest "aged like milk" moment ever. That missed putt basically set the tone for the entire day where he made absolutely nothing on the green.
Tiger still had his image and aura during this tournament. Y.E. Yang went toe-to-toe and didn't back down. Hard to do!
Be nice to see some scoring graphics or the occasional leaderboard to get better context here
Fr i had to go keep his card off of some memorabilia site
This is the third video I’ve watched of the same round because none of them show the score. Wtf
One of those days when your putter completely betrays you. It’s amazing that this was the only Major he lost having the lead going into the 4th round. He was able to summon the goods every time, however unlikely, except on this day. My favorite player, Rory, has been betrayed by his putter for nearly a decade.
Yah usually Tiger is a putting god. 😅
He knew the scandal was coming that had to interfere
His approach shots weren't dialed in either.

Sinners make Tiger seem like the king of them all!
When we have rapists amongst us, nobody is saying anything about them!!
This was Tiger's first ever time losing after holding a 54-hole lead
Man I wish they'd include EVERY shot in this video
It was all the shots that were broadcasted so yea
I'm an 0ld Asian woman of 73 from Asians country's. I just loved watch Tiger Woods in every of his Tournaments especially when his in the Winning category. Alhamdulilah Aamin Bye
With today's focus on power, I wonder how far Tiger would have hit the ball had he embraced modern speed training. Back in 1997, during the week he won the masters, he averaged 323yds off the tee. Now that was with a 250cc 43.5" steel-shafted driver and a Titleist Professional 100 golf ball. Modern equipment would carry the ball about 30 yds more with the same input. Incidentally, Bryson averaged the same length off the tee in 2020. Think about that!
Not to nitpick but, “Every Shot” should include the approach shots 😂
It was a tough loss, but it was such a fun tournament to watch, despite the result
I'd be so bold as to say this: he tainted the game...by making it celebrated for power rather than its original renown of a game of finesse.
@kenadvocate nah tiger had more skill.and finesse than everybody. He was just great at everything. Did what Greg Norman couldn't do. He hit it better than anybody else but his short game and mind were as strong as anybody. Great finisher. The GOAT in my opinion.
That was one horrid round of golf. His old dip & flip fast turn swing got him in a lot of trouble. He was used to hitting a lot of bad shots with that swing but could always scramble his way out of it but not this time.
Legend
Tiger lost this tournament on Saturday when he played way too conservative.
1:10 “Fucking read”
I didn't count the strokes but it appeared he. Shot about 78-80. Never made a putt over 5 foot, missed way too many greens.
He shot 75
Made up of 33.putts . TW career putting average is 28
Yah he had so many that missed top left of the hole (3 IIRC).
Yep
Some days you're on some days you're off. Sometimes the greens make sense and other times they're a mystery. Fuck this game.
Tiger seems kinda pissed at Steve in this round, but he clearly wasn’t striking the ball well
Tiger disagrees,
"I hit the ball so much better than my score indicates,” he said.16 Aug 2009
Hearing him swear sounds like hearing my former, nerdy, straight-cut store manager swear 😂 Sounds so unnatural and like they’re just doing it to sound cool and edgy
First two holes and cussed on both lol
Tiger!!!!!!
Missing all those putts.....I can empathize...some days you have it, others not so much
2nd twice on this course
forcing a draw every swing it seemed like. everything loops underneath no wonder he lost this tournament
He couldn't buy a putt. If he putt like the early 2000s Tiger on that day, he would've won running away!
Statistically speaking....yelling out GET IN THE HOLE....sound really ridiculous
funny how this at the time felt like the beginning of the end and things were getting unraveled(which was a total overreaction) AND THEN IT LITERALLY WAS THE BEGINNING OF THE END THAT SOMEHOW DIDNT CONCLUDE WITH JUST A MUGSHOT
I feel Like 09 Was A Great Season 6 Wins 14 Top 10s But A Missed Cut at The Open And A Total Choke At The PGA It looked like something was wrong
Nah this was the first time he didn't look invincible. It wasn't the beginning of the end. And nobody could of predicted an 11 year drought in the majors for him after getting to 14 in his first 11 years.
Greatest golfer? I beg to differ.
How so lol
😂😂
You've never had a bad day at the office?
Start begging
It's between him and Jack nicklaus no doubt. Can make an argument for either. Personally I think Tiger is the GOAT.
He played bad compared to normal prime tiger
Just before the cheating scandal broke out to the world. How fitting.
I've seen him play way better than this game you win some you lose some 👍
The start of the end of his career, lost his putting and his mojo after getting beat by a nobody
양용은 선수 리즈 시절
Wish they would upload final rounds
MY GOAT!!!🤪
Some context would be great!
1:09 Now THAT is the Tiger I remember
