• The Carrivick Sisters ...
Cover of James Taylors famous song Sweet Baby James - we thought it sounded like it would suit clawhammer banjo. Still a little rough around the edges at the moment. - เพลง
That is one of my most favorite songs of all time. And you ladies are doing an excellent job I must say.
It's nice to see sisters enjoying each other's company with beautiful music...lovely video!!
"We thought it sounded like it would suit clawhammer banjo." - How right you were! This is a delightful rendering of this song. (By the way - you might want to check out the "Sound Off" thread in the "Banjo Hangout", where this video is being brought to the attention of banjo players everywhere - that's where I came across it.)
I just loved it. You two are so talented. Stick together and make lots more wonderful music like this. I just want to wish you the best of luck for lots of fun for both of you over the years. I have been a guitarist for about 30 years now. I started playing music with my younger sister who sings and 30 years down the line we still do it and enjoy it just as much!
it's good to see young people singin and playin like this... well done!
U ladies are great!! as u grow, NEVER forget ur musical background. It'll carry u thru.....
Keep up the great work!!

Oops - correction: I found this video in the "Other Banjo Related Topics: Clawhammer and Old Time" forum on the Banjo Hangout (not "Sound Off", as I said in my previous post). Well, wherever it's been posted, I hope it brings lotsa people here to watch it!

I love this roots music. Keep it up.
Especially love the Dobro.
Wonderful..like a young Emmy Lou Harris. A voice like that deserves a real nice microphone--you'll never regreat the purchase.
Oh yes and let me go down in my dreams
Fantastic. I'd love to hear it again with your newer recording equipment.

I see the Dobro player doubles as the Camera and Sound person?
And also a fine fiddle player too.
rockaby sweet baby jane

Beware all the “experts” weighing in with their opinions...ur fine & on the right track, obviously.
Anthony Moon I'm with you, these young ladies are on the way! Music is so good for the soul!
Very nice, I hope you are persuing a career in BG
Fabulous! Better sound just means we want to hear your voice a bit more. And the dobro is stupendous! (Look out Jerry Douglas)
Very good hamomy also
Absolutely Beautiful ! All you need is a better recording
Great playing, would be nicer to hear a better quality audio tho.
brilliant ! c u maybe in "Kultur im glanz" in austria :)
Bluegrass with a feeling
yeah ! it's great even with the bad quality. now I can sleep and have a nice dream ^^
If you gals haven't recorded an album yet, I hope that changes.
I didn't know what to expect at first, being so in love with the original, but f?+ck me, this is so awesome!! truly beautiful! very well done.
kicking some ass on petal steal
Alan Harris
Did you mean to write pedal steel? While her playing is quite good, the instrument is a dobro style resonator guitar. A pedal steel guitar is a console where the player is seated (to actuate the pedals).
wow .. beautiful woman ..?! okay .. I play the violin?! onglay ..
Desde México Felicidades
There's something about lofi banjo, can't put my finger on it
Really good voice and play.
I think you have better to start again recording with better sound.
And the guitar is maybe too loud towards the banjo.
Anyway, BRAVO !
Aiko zoology Capt ja
the guitar is what we call here in the south a dobro and its supposed to be a little loud and it is naturally cause its got a resonator on it
:* LADIES :* I LOVE JT... AND THIS SONG :)
Harmony. Wish I took typing in H School
Love your instrument selection (claw hammer banjo and dobro) and voices but the recording quality needs work. Something is clipping badly. Edit: just saw your link to the new video. Cool!
me like
seems there is still hope for humanity!
very nice! maybe some investment in the recording gear would help! ;)
