fires are so damn scary in SoCal. I live in San Diego and I remember the crazy fires we had a few years ago. I hope no more fires will spread when/if the Santa Ana winds come.
WOW thats is a pretty big one you guys have going on Best of luck I hope they get that guy stopped for you guys, I'm from denver and during the hayman fire in "02 it was getting close to the south end of town till the wind shifted hope the same happens out there!!!!
Its hot and we got so much back country in Southern California there is only so much the state and local governments can do to prevent these fires from happening.
What really sucks is now when I am able to use that route to drive home after work, it will look like a battle zone instead of the beautiful drive it usually is.
In Souther California around this time it's normal for fires to break out because it's so damn hot. Problem is these fires turn into raging forest fires and it costs the state a lot of money in damages. That's what's happening.
its not an explosion. its a water tanker that dropped water, then the heat vaporized it to the point where it rose high into the sky, and condensed above the smoke. happens a lot more than you think.
I remember living in acton and having the feeling of armagedon with all the smoke around us.... I'm praying for the community and family and friends over there! Stay Safe!!!!
I hate this state too!!! I work about 8 miles from the fires at an elementary school and the district has yet to cancel one day!!! It is smokey and ashy all day, poor kids!!!
You do. Palmdale/Lancaster area. Fire is in northeast LA county. Over in your area there's a large build-up of da-oooosh bag. Yeah, right there. Between the ears.
why would you even suspect its not fire dude i live on the other side of the smoke and yes they are smoke. it smells like smoke outside and the cars are covered in ash and im like 30 miles away.
I didn't say I was. Do I have to stick an "in my opinion, ...." before everything I say? Besides, with the lamp post, it feels like I have to ignore it, and the power lines make me feel cluastrophobic. The point of this sort of thing is for the viewer to look into the clouds of smoke and find an image hidden in it. The lamp kept me from doing that, and I'm allowed to criticize it, that's the point of the comment box. If you want to make assumptions go ahead, be ignorant
isn't LA just great...we even create our own special effects for the movie industry of ten's of thousands of acres on fire...along with earthquakes, floods, santa ana winds..and all for FREE.
What has come of this age when scientific research and Al Gore can conclusively determine the effects of greenhouse emissions yet we as a society fail to act? I say we take control! I say we organize! I say we establish our ideals, and tomorrow morning we fight! Everyone concerned with the conservation and protection of this world's most precious resource should carpool out to the general area in this video, and stand up against the industrial machine that is causing all this pollution!
or both i think would be better the people trained to put out the fires should do their job and the people who cant do anything physically can help out mentally but if you don't believe in god that's ok too cuz you can just care and think about the people having a hard time and wish them the best which is just as loving
thanks for taking time to make this. it was amazing!
Thanks for doing this and I hope you and your family stay safe.
Wow - that's amazing. It's an interesting of juxtaposition of the grand beauty of it all in the midst of such destruction. Thanks for posting this.
wow, i have to say, this is a great piece of footage
A perfect example of how beauty and danger sometimes go together.

I live about 40 min-1 hr from LA, and man, I thought a volcano erupted or something! Though I was exaggerating of course.
Its hot and we got so much back country in Southern California there is only so much the state and local governments can do to prevent these fires from happening.

Thanks! =)
I remember living in acton and having the feeling of armagedon with all the smoke around us.... I'm praying for the community and family and friends over there! Stay Safe!!!!
This looks like it was taken from the Palmdale/Lancaster are.The fire here is not in LA, but in the mountains northeast.
holy crap. did anyone else notice at exactly 1:31 a sad face seemed to form on the left side of the pole?
How did they put this fire out.. Did they just contain it and let itself burn out or the usual way with planes etc?
man i remember that day hotboxing the woods was crazi
Is that the same white SUV driving around in circles?
Agnus Dei from Mozart's Requiem? great choice for background music....I think...
DAMN! i knew there was a fire in cali, all that damn smoke is choking us over here in las vegas..fucking christ man!
Great video. What song is playing?
Hello, Mordor! :)
--Donnie
and the hills of las angeles are burnin
"I see your hair is burning, the hills are filled with fire...."
God bless the firefighters still battling that monster.
"Over Las Angeles"? That looks miles, and miles away. Why the false advertising. How many miles from the city is this?
Must be hard to breathe, all that smoke in the area.
why did you have to say something now its noticable
the lamp post ruins the effect, why not move the camera 10 feet and get it out of the shot?
I hate this state too!!! I work about 8 miles from the fires at an elementary school and the district has yet to cancel one day!!! It is smokey and ashy all day, poor kids!!!
what song is this?
damn, well good thing i live in norcal where its nice and green not too damn hot and fires like every summer in socal :P
where is this being filmed from
Nicer without the commentary, but good video.
Did you start it then?
You do. Palmdale/Lancaster area. Fire is in northeast LA county.
Over in your area there's a large build-up of da-oooosh bag. Yeah, right there. Between the ears.
wow real busy road
why would you even suspect its not fire dude i live on the other side of the smoke and yes they are smoke. it smells like smoke outside and the cars are covered in ash and im like 30 miles away.
And we got the smoke here in Colorado.
the Agnus Dei from Mozart's Requiem
I'm sure the batteries were dead on the smoke detectors in that area. Should check every month.
I didn't say I was. Do I have to stick an "in my opinion, ...." before everything I say? Besides, with the lamp post, it feels like I have to ignore it, and the power lines make me feel cluastrophobic.

god bless america.
i wish luck for all those in L.A
hopefully it doesnt spread to were i live! SAN DIEGO!!!!
if everyone can please pray , hope, meditate, send wishes or blessings for rain to come and put these fires out thank you
i live right next to that fire
:[
what cause the fire ?
what school do u go to? :D
Music?
David?
Ryan started the fire
Why not "fire on the mountain" as the sound track? Maybe that woudl be in bad taste ?
what do you mean going nowhere???
This video would be roughly eight times better without the power lines and street light in the middle of the shot. Better luck next time.
you such a hot light pole. you are very lucky. hope that you 2 be happy for the rest of your life
i think he may be talking about someone starting the fire. not the sun >:U
can some1 tell me wat happened cause i havent been watchin the news lately and every where i go people talkin bout this
this may sound silly but i'm expecting mufassa to come out and say;
"simba, go home"
damn street lights..
Nice ,exept the bloody pole!!

at :56 u can somewhat see a face but why michael? lol
2:34 XD Smoke Flips you off !!
Looks like a volcano that just went off...
Yea, lets stop trying to put out the fire and pray to god to put it out.
at 1:50 to the right on the pole it looks like someone bending over with his/her elbows on his/her knees lol
face at 1:50 below the lamp post
the fire that happened last year was worse, in my opinion. I mean it started snowing ash for a longer time than this fire.
isn't LA just great...we even create our own special effects for the movie industry of ten's of thousands of acres on fire...along with earthquakes, floods, santa ana winds..and all for FREE.
Dont lie man i live in denver!
LAD vs LAA in the World Series
