Jesse you need to check out the artist James Jean. He designed and painted the Everything Everywhere poster. He did the same for Aronofsky on Mother! and The Whale as well as The Shape of Water for Del Toro.
Recently found your channel and you are like that college friend with cool work who discussed and shared cool, interesting stuff about graphic design! Been learning and discovering a lot from your channel!
All at once (quantity), Midsommar (emotion), Pearl (old school, horror and innocence), Enemy (Bizarreness), green knight (the yellow on red) and the Witch's (Evil Philip) designs are really great and they talk a lot
graphic designer on the east coast. my three favorite are: *The Lighthouse* - good font choice. the border and forms created by the clouds/light and waves draw the eye to the lighthouse. black/white...good contrast. *The Florida Project* - the use perspective and scale really work. I like the way the girl is cropped in the layout and the points at which her body hit the edges. good color contrast, also. 👍 *The Lobster* - very powerful poster. it draws you in---like who is this character and more importantly who is he embracing? the head and hands protrude out from the negative space--mimicing the anatomy of lobster. it's brilliant. the best of the bunch imo. 👍👍
Don’t forget about the two characters of the lighthouse in the background in the shape of clouds. I also can’t tell if Willem Defoe’s character is flipping off Robert Pattinson‘s character or if that’s his member lol.
interesting hearing your opinions haha i didnt really like the eeaao poster because it just feels too busy but i honestly thought the Eighth Grade text touching the edge was sick
Do production companies make the posters or do graphic designers make the posters and the filmmakers choose the best ones and then A24 purchase the movie? Genuine question
I strongly disagree with florida project and think it should be on S tier, other than that i think you reviewed all of them very good and it was very informative. I quite like your videos
Hey Jesse, I hope you're having a great day, I was thinking you could do a tutorial on the way you use layout grids for your designs, that would be really helpful, thanks !
This one was really fun to hear your rankings and I agree with most of your choices! Good Time poster could go lower hahah. The movies themselves here are all A/S tier 🍿
Great video! Although, I would've liked to see your thoughts on other A24 posters as well, like Swiss Army Man and The Tragedy of McBeth. (Also, what do you think about the supposedly AI-generated posters for Civil War??)
Please do video on what you think about the film posters from the production company KILLER Films. By the way, their own logo sucks but Christine Vachon reduces a lot of good films. it might be worth a video analysis.
Which Poster is your favorite???
I love the poster for "A Ghost Story"
Hereditary ( the alternative one with the house ) and The Witch
Ladybird
I liked Aftersun Poster, even though it wasnt in the list, its gotten in my heart since I saw the poster.
Pearl!

Dope, his work is awesome!

my favourite one was The Lighthouse. Love the use of image and type!
I love Jordan peele posters
They make the best movie posters and best films, I loved pearl and the green knight!

the lighthouse & pearl are definitely some of my favourites!!
My top 5 would be:
Eeaao, the Florida project, mid 90s, enemy, midsummer
Loved this video! Would love your thoughts/video on Jordan Peele's movie posters!!! I especially love the marketing collateral he puts out!
By the way, you left out about 15 +/- film posters from a24
Don't judge a book by its cover...but nobody said anything about movie posters. These takes are spot on 👌
Don’t forget about the two characters of the lighthouse in the background in the shape of clouds. I also can’t tell if Willem Defoe’s character is flipping off Robert Pattinson‘s character or if that’s his member lol.
And then, you can rank/analyze the dvd covers from the Criterion collection
interesting hearing your opinions haha i didnt really like the eeaao poster because it just feels too busy but i honestly thought the Eighth Grade text touching the edge was sick
thought i was the only one. D seems a bit harsh lol.
"feels too busy" seems to be perfect for a film called "everything everywhere all at once", doesnt it
Have you watched EEAAO
Tyrsa killed their work on SWARM!
These cool covers get us excited before watching the movie. I respect everyone who creates works like this.
Ok thanks lol
Man everything A24 makes is super fire .. everything
👋🏼 florida graphic designer!! my fav posters were the green night and pearl!
Pearl is sooooooo Good!
Please do more of these, I love em!
i love the tier list videos!
Do production companies make the posters or do graphic designers make the posters and the filmmakers choose the best ones and then A24 purchase the movie? Genuine question
They hire agency companies for posters ..
everything everywhere all at once's poster is made by james jean so not surprising it's so good! i'm curious on who made the other S tiers?
Super sick! Would love to see you redesign some of your faves bro!
I strongly disagree with florida project and think it should be on S tier, other than that i think you reviewed all of them very good and it was very informative. I quite like your videos
you should review some of the a24 zines, they're so well done

I chuckled at the Beef poster, I stand with B or A tier.

This one was really fun to hear your rankings and I agree with most of your choices! Good Time poster could go lower hahah. The movies themselves here are all A/S tier 🍿

Great job, Jesse.
hey man, how are you? I'm from Brasil and found your channel recently. Did your content bring you new customers?
I was waiting for bodies bodies bodies
*edit* there were actually a few missed :/

mid90's is not a slab serif, looks like an old-style typeface.
yee, I missspoke on that one. I think it might be Baskerville or something
why don't you teach how to make good Movie Posters?
Because he can't
Dont be bias here ..if u not a horror fan.
I always learn so much from ur videos! Thank you
