Growing up as a swimmer and now a swim teacher myself, you’re such an inspiration, no one teaches the way you do. the very best.

Great video! How would you encourage parents to push passed their fears of their child swallowing too much water?

If the child is well conditioned you count three seconds under only.......
don't submerge if they are swallowing water or coughing

Laurie Lawrence thank u, but in India below 5 yr kids r not allowed in a pool. I hav bought an inflatable pool 6'x6'x2'. Using it indoor bt because of winter season water is getting too cold. Baby cries if i put her in.
I do follow all instructions given by u. She has become pro in conditioning 😀.
      So thank u so much....

How old are these children? Do you have any recommendation of things to do with a 16 week old?

My daughter (2 years old (28 months)) has developed a hatred for water on the face over the winter... Any tips? I dont want her to develop a fear by just continuously dousing her...

      Don't push!
Start by no water over face just left ear right
All gradual now left cheek ... right cheek... after a couple of weeks if she is happy do one quick pour on top of forehead.
      repeat but always having fun
Maybe have a toy doll that she can do the same game with .

    I. was scared Levi was swallowing too much water. Parents MUST be SUPER WATCHFUL that the children aren't swallowing too much water while learning.

Constant supervision is essential. Reading baby’s body language is essential. Levi is now 8 and continues to swim with us at Laurie Lawrence Swim School.
