I highly suggest playing in cpl or watching Herson's multiplayer advice videos if you really want to get into multiplayer, otherwise every game is gonna look like that 1v11 civ game

My wish for civ 7 is that multiplayer isnt a truly awful experience where it takes 4 hours to play 20 turns as the crashes, relobbies, more crashes, and quits from 2+ hours of crashes make the game unplayable. It shouldnt be that hard for a turn based game
It's funny, the game is a turned based movement. There is barely any actions per minutes that the game needs to take into account... this should be easy peazy to netcode

I really don't agree with the comments on that video. FFA multiplayer is just a different game entirely from Deity civ, and that's why different people represent both communities. You aren't going to be able to get as much settle space in Deity as in FFA, you aren't going to be able to be as greedy with comm hubs and internal routes when the nearest AI is incentivised to attack you.

If thats how you feel I cant blame you. 2) you mentioned no backseating and that you want to learn in your own and I definitely think that a series that covered your rise from a multiplayer noob to something much better would be an insanely good set of videos, especially now that civ has been out for so long youve covered so much of thr single player territory 3) The CWC is on and just passed the group stage! Your videos with OnSpot are some of my favourites on either of your channels. I know people have mentioned this to you already but id personally love to see more of that content and it could blend with a multiplayer direction/angle if you plan to do this even semi-regularly. Hey Potato, Just a thought if you make this a series and start finding stream sniping is a problem you could add a few minutes of delay buffer in OBS so anyone sniping you would be working with out of date info.
If there is stream sniping he can also report those people to the CPL mods and they will be punished. So there are multiple avenues for him to pursue .
Any reason you don't focus food and production at once? Sure you might still need to lock some tiles, but I'd guess on average it'd be closer to what you want!
What I want from Civ7 is for them to make multiplayer resilient t. I.e. make the reliability so good that we forget how unreliable Civ6 multiplayer was

I feel like Herson deserves a bigger shoutout. If he helped you that much, maybe he can help more people. I think it would show some strength from your half, if you admitted, how much he helped you instead of pretending to do it all on your own. Maybe you can make some collaboration, where he coaches you through a game or analyses your games and gives you input.

Like, why be dismissive of Herson, who is just trying to catch you up to speed on basic multiplayer mechanics that are UBIQUITOUS among the more experienced players, and assert that you're just going to divine everything on your own? Road to godhood? GODhood? When you refuse to take BASIC advice from good players? You're just better than the entire culmination of the civ community coming together to develop a metagame? hubris and arrogance imo. Not a good look. really liked your single player content too, despite it being pretty obviously cherry picked and post-commentated runs.
Also lots of cringe metagaming other players as if they're all evil. The game is about winning, not about being a psycho moron when aggressed upon. Lots of cooperation is optimal and players often peacefully sim. You would know this if you watched any competitive games instead of just trying to figure it all out on your own in between lobbies.
