This time last year, we were watching TH-cam videos planning to try to give it a go, so we want to share our experience to hopefully make it more accessible for others to get out & explore. If you have questions PLEASE let us know so that we can help you achieve your travel goals! :)
We are very like-minded with you guys and in the ways that we save money for trips as well. We do the same these days with eating out- just keep it to special times and we for sure used to do it more often. That one alone saves a lot of money! We are minimalists as well. Awe- cars/ trucks can be oddly emotional to say good bye to. It’s hard to find other girls who don’t love shopping! Hopefully our paths cross one of these days.
It really does save a ton of money! Plus, I feel like we enjoy the special meals more (even on the road) when we are making them count :) Though, we do sometimes split a meal in order to try more things in a new place! Haha Definitely a non-shopper here (except for holiday decor...okay also a sucker for some artisan crafts, but holding off this year!). :) Would love it if our paths cross!
Thank you all so much for sharing this video! This is super helpful and informative. Assessing our food waste and eating out habits has been something I’ve wanted to tackle for awhile now. Thanks for encouraging us to dive in!
Congrats on having the discipline to make this happen! Your priorities sound similar to mine, and I’m having the hardest time giving up on those convenient restaurant meals. I try to cook a variety of entrees on the weekend and freeze/refrigerate them until needed. It was great seeing your side hustles make an appearance here. I would love to see more photography/music whenever you feel like including it. You really are “Creatives en Route”!
It’s so difficult to get rid of the convenient restaurant meals!! It mostly boiled down to better planning for us, but the reality is that there are still times we don’t feel like cooking. Strong agree that meal prepping tends to make that a bit easier :) Thanks for the kind words on our creative gigs! They were birthed out of hobbies and have been such good outlets for our creative interests! The Mingled Oaks have a few songs on streaming (Song to the Moon is definitely their newest one and a better reflection of their current sound) if you want to check them out & see what they sound like!
Thanks for all of the useful information! Tbh I don’t want to look at all of the money I’m spending on subscriptions bc I’m sure it’s worse than I know 😂😅. And the bloops are 100 as usual.
Haha totally fair!! We were shocked when we realized just how many things we were paying for regularly that we didn’t use as often as we should have for the price.

Thanks for letting me know how to find their music! Found them on Apple Music and have already listened to Song to the Moon. Amazing!
