oh my godddddd the nostalgia rush this brings me 😭 I watched Nintendo Week RELIGIOUSLY as a kid; I didn't even have any interest in 95% of the games being advertised, but I loved the show so much, it was hilarious and so fun to me. The low-budget cheesiness of it all made up so much of the charm, and how the plot would just come to a screeching halt to advertise games, AND DARK GARY, Idk it was all a lot funnier than it should have been somehow. 😭 I have a strong memory of this one part with Gary being in a car hurtling through the air while he talked about a game, and then the bit ended with his car landing in water, which they showed by throwing a toy car in a tub??? I don't know why I remember that bit of all things but IT WAS SO FUNNY TO MEEEEEEE. AND I VAGUELY REMEMBER THE CHRISTMAS CAROL EPISODE TOO....... Peak series. I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one who remembers it and loved it, even if it's just a few other people. :')
I have really fond memories of watching this show every week with my brother at night before we went to be. We genuinely looked forward to each new episode like it was an actual episodic tv series. Thye Nintendo Week crew were just so funny and Dark Gary was a highlight. I'm glad someone else remembers it fondly, too!
I live in Brazil and if wifi was "not so common" in USA, you can imagine that it was worse here, but somehow at that time we had a aweful D-link router, so yes, relying on my poor English I watched every episode of Nintendo Week.
I had absolutely no idea this even existed. I'm wondering if it didn't air in the UK but I can't seem to find any info to suggest it didn't. What a strange and interesting little bit of Nintendo history.
I also couldn't find much info on it airing outside the US. But even in the US, hardly anyone watched it, so I thought it would be fun to share this obscure piece of forgotten media with my viewers. Thank you for watching!
Dude, I'm late to this by like 2 years, but thank you so much for doing this! I remember watching Nintendo Week so much back then and playing the demos they had on offer back then, mainly the Ghost Trick and Fossil Fighters one's. Nintendo Week always gives me that feeling of 'winter morning' for some reason, and I do miss them. But once again, thank you a lot for making this! (Also; I saw your vid on LIT as well, and was overjoyed someone else remembered it. It's criminal that we never got the WiiWare version anywhere else.)
Great video! It was cool to find out about Nintendo Week. I never messed around with stuff like that on the Wii Shop channel back in the day, so it’s wild to see content like that being made for it and all. It’s nice to see some closure with Nintendo Minute, I watched them back then when I was getting back into Nintendo games, and it’s cool to hear they have their own channel now. I hope your channel and theirs does very well!
Thank you. My dream scenario would be for there to be some sort of crossover between the two pairs of hosts, even though that's likely not gonna happen officially, or ever. But still, I can dream.
WOW!!! I had no idea that this show existed. This was like Smosh mixed with the reviews of AVGN. I really only played Raving Rabbids and House Of The Dead 2&3 return.
I found Gary
WHERE

The Nintendo Week fanbase is small, but we exist
Don't fret, with the regularity so far, we'll have Nintendo Nanosecond in 2023
🤣

Good to know I'm not the only one!
Finally someone makes a video on this underrated gem. Subbed. I miss the glory days when Nintendo would meme their own games
This is one of my worst performing videos, but I'm still glad I made it. It deserves to be talked about.
Some of dark Gary’s jokes are inside jokes with my friends
I wish I had friends to joke about Nintendo Week with.

No worries, I'm like 3 weeks late to responding to this lmao. I'm glad I was able to cover this topic despite how niche it is.

Yeah, I don't blame you for not knowing about it. Happy I could share its existence with the world.
Excellent video!!!
Thank you. I feel like this one is super underrated, so I appreciate you watching it.
This video was amazing
Thank you!
I miss these 2 then Kit and Krysta replaced them :(
