Ford Bronco | Max Tire Clearance Kit Install

  • As new Bronco's are beginning to hit the trail, there is a need in the market to improve capability and improve on Ford's design. One upgrade that is apparent is the need to optimize the front wheel opening for maximum clearance. Aftermarket tire fitment is limited by the front body mount brackets and intrusion beams. Regardless of lift height (stock or lifted) this will affect clearance and limit tire size. The solution, the Max Tire Clearance Kit from JKS Mfg. By replacing the front body mount with a high clearance body mount and adjusting the profile of the inner fender liner with new brackets, larger tires can be installed with increased clearance through full wheel travel.

    This is a fantastically detailed walkthrough. I'm sure it is harder than it looks, but the level of detail provided is confidence-inspiring.

    this is a great video. Very well lit, you can see everything that's going on. Invaluable. I've heard several people say that this was mandatory to lift a 6g Bronco and fit 37s. I can now easily see why. Thank you for the video, it clearly shows the why and how. Well done.

    This is a great idea for those that don't want to lift their Broncos and run 37s!

    Very cool. I have a badlands with 35s from factory. Will this allow me to fit 37s and go offroad without rubbing?

    Nice I have plenty of room with current set up but those bars are an eye sore so will be worth doing just to clean everything up a bit.

    Removing that rear mount is a little concerning to me. If you get hit I believe that is there to keep the wheel from pushing into the firewall and breaking your leg.

      There are aftermarket options that are thinner in terms of the space if you want to retain it as a safety measure. I believe icon makes one.

    Any particular blade recommendations for cutting the crash bars off? Any saw specs I should be aware of before buying a saw?

      I'm sure you've moved passed this by now but I slapped a basic metal blade from home depot into my sawzall to cut off the end of a steel I-beam that supports my house. Cut through it like butter :D

    At 3:56 is it weird my 2 door badlands did not have that little bolted on crash bar brand new from the factory ? bolt was in the hole that holds, but the bar was not installed. Just curious.... 🤔

    I installed this kit on my Bronco, the plastic rear piece being replaced with your brackets didn't seem to reach the factory fender liner, so I had to reuse the plastic piece. Please provide a response as to why I am not able to use your brackets? They are simply to far back for the fender liner to reach.

    From everything I’ve watched, so far for upgrading to 37”, even if you lift they will still rub when doing a full turn on any articulation, without this mod? Is this right, even if I decide to get a 3” lift?

    • @steampunkedgearssteampunke4211
      @steampunkedgearssteampunke4211 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, 2in lift with removing crash guards will clear 37s

    • @J_Madison
      @J_Madison ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This will help you tuck with 37s for off road. With a solid 3" lift, you can fit 37s for daily driving but will still rub with a full tire tuck.
      Stock Sasquatch tires are 34.4" brand new, so going up to a true 37" is a big step up!
      (Just an FYI for others reading this)
