Yeh same here, just so simple and you feel so much more part of nature and the elements 🙂👍. Definitely one of my favourite ways to spend the night outdoors. Nice Pot there Rick, but I've no idea what a BENTO Box is when it's at home? I've not long ago purchased a Helikon Tex Pot, comes in 3 parts and what I like about them is that I can use it to carry fresh foods, keeping the vermin out. I adore Dry Stone Walls wherever I find them and am sorry that so many have been replaced with steel wired fences. I did a quick Google search on your camp location and thought this to be interesting - best be careful where you dig your Cat Hole. ''Considerable areas of the Bowland fells were used for military training during World War II and there are still unexploded bombs in some areas, including nearby Wolf Fell''. 👀🤷♂😉
Haha that's class Robert , I walked accross Wolf fell in the morning too. I bivvied on top of Fairsnape . I've been up there the last two days training D of E groups . I'll tell them about that next time . Lots of work going on up there to reintroduce blanket bog to the upland areas. Cheers Robert mate, I'm the same with you about the dry stone walls, absolutely amazing structures. Lots of great examples in that area and Yorkshire . You have a top week Robert, always a pleasure mate. Atb Rick n Billy

Great video Rick. Perfect for a Sunday morning 👍 Do you have to tether Billy to anything during the night, or does he stay put? I want to try bringing one of my spaniels on a camp but am worried they wouldn't settle.
Cheers Benny, nah hes quality at night. Dont know why but he just chills out. As soon as I start getting my pit ready he digs himself a bed and gets ready to bed down 🙂. My old dog used to go walkabout for hours then come back in the morning lol 😃 Cheers Benny atb fella Rick n Billy
Hey rick mate! thinking of buying a biivy and looked this one up online and reviews seem really solid! Is this your best recommendation? thinking XL also for a bit more room/comfort?
Yeh I like it fir the money and what I use it for. I have a dutch army one too which is a bit thicker but packs a lot larger n heavier so I nearly always end up using the Hunka XL. Definitely go for the XL 👍. Still packs down really small. Small enough to stuff in a coat pocket 🙂
