I recommend that you watch the video again. In the part where I am wearing a mask, I am not in the woods but on a London Tube train. I agree with you that wearing a mask in the woods would just be strange hence why I didn't wear one whilst alone in the woods.
Nice camp. Love a tarp and bivvy camp , and like the old plow point . You can tie off the middle tab on the roof to a tree or stick to give more head room inside. Atb 👍
Many thanks for watching. I might try out the tie-out next time. Just wanted to try it in its basic form. Have got a couple of your forest videos on my Watch Later list. Thanks again - Ben
@@benhikescamps no worries Ben enjoyed . Definitely gives a bit of room in there , always humming and ha-ing on my setup and after a long day a plough point is definitely up there as one of the best . Take care mate. Hope you enjoy if you watch mine 😂👍
Excellent. Enjoyed that. Me and the better half will be using this set up on a motorbike tour to Scotland this coming year. It’s absolutely ideal as you can tie it off on the back of my tall sissy bar then trail it out behind the bike ideal if your in a situation where there are no trees about. As you said it takes minutes to set up and take down so you can be off and away before anyone knows your there. Many ways you can configure it to suit your situation. Great choice of shelter when you are on the move. Thank you Ben as always a great video looking forward to many more.
Well, the multicam works. I pitch here all the time (can even recognise some of the trees) and did a 10k hike there on New Year's Day and I didn't see yer .
Great video mate, the drone footage really adds to the viewing experience. The food looks lovely! Good that you got a decent (ish) temperature. Cheers, Si
DD Superlight is great, I use mine for bikepacking because it offers lots of room for a very lightweight compact pack away, I use mine with a carbon 4 piece pole which is very light and compact.

Yes it was downright balmy! Yet again, you've added another to my every-growing must give that a go list. Assuming it's where I think, I'd feel conspicuous to all the folks out for walks, maybe a separate visit to pick a couple of spots. Early nightfall helps though.

Cheers for this. I'm with you ref the ease of putting the ploughpoint up! I generally just go bivvying under the stars but with a tarp in the bag just in case AND make sure i'm close to a tree! The ploughpoint is sooo quick to put up it's a no brainer. Might use it again very soon :-) All the best 🏕️
I totally agree. Once tied off at the tree it’s just a quick bit of pegging out. It gave me good protection too. Rain came in the night but I was fine. Also sweeping the leaves up around the edges kept the draft out. Thanks for watching and your feedback. ATB 👍⛺️

I do like the look of the plow point and want to give it a go this Spring. I have seen it raised inside slightly by tying off the centre loop at the back to a second tree. Just watched a video before yours that did a similar camp and used this technique. Happy New Year 🥳
Yes, there is the option of tying off one of the middle loops to raise it a bit. It's a good idea. However, it's good to see how it can be used with the basic tie-out and peg-out points I think. If in a hurry: rain or other bad weather, it's good to know that with a bit of parador and just three pegs you can have a pretty good shelter up in 5 minutes! Many thanks for watching Niall.
Hi Ben, new subscriber here. Enjoyed this video. I've been a "normal" tent camper for years now but more recently I've been mucking about with tarps for a change. My favourite pitch so far is the Trapezoid Pyramid design as demonstrated by Papa Hiker on his channel. I like this design because you have the option of either full enclosure or an open porch. I see you share my approval of the Trangia Triangle. Smashing bit of kit isn't it. I live in N. E. Lincolnshire and stealth camping around here really is STEALTH camping. The farmers hereabouts, I'm sure, would like to exterminate walkers with a can of something nasty. Have only watched a couple of your videos so far but looking forward to catching up on more. Take care.
Hi Frederick. Many thanks for those thoughts and the feedback. Shhhh...don't tell anyone but my Trangia Triangle actually ISN'T an official Trangia Triangle!
