We really need a new mattress and have been researching quite awhile. Your review has been instrumental in our decision to buy. We are going with the Costco Comfort Grande Queen EVENcor GelPlus because of the medium firmness. I noticed that one of the other comments said they sent the firm mattress back and got the medium. I bought a temperpedic over 10 years ago for about $2700. Yes it's alot but I still love it to this day.
When it wears out I'm definitely going to give this a try because I like firm, that 20 year warranty and the fact that this I think $700.

I’ve had my Luxe Temperpedic for 11 years and I’ve loved it for 9 1/2 lol. It’s starting to leave me sore in the morning now. I’m 220 lbs.
I just bought it just because of this review as soon as I get it in May 27 and will review fully once I have two months under my belt but thank you for one hell of a review because it’s very difficult to find the right type of bed and with this review makes it just a little bit easier to purchase so hopefully wish me luck.

We have this very same mattress. We use the Costco sheets. They fit perfect. We also bought the mattress topper from there as well for that extra protection

We LOVE these mattresses! Have bought THREE over the past 10 years. The first one was a king size for our bed. Then we moved and my son got the bed and mattress. In our new home, we bought 2 more - one for our new king size bed and a second for the guest bedroom queen mattress. They are great! Just beware, as the narrator said, they are TALL mattresses, so standard size sheets dont fit. You need to get sheets with "extra deep pockets" Got mine on sale at JCP for the king and I put our regular king size set on the queen. They are a tad large for the queen, but I just tuck everything in. Works GREAT!

We bout the mattress in a Queen size with the platform for our guest room and it is so comfortable, everything you said is exactly what would say. I got the sixteen inches fitted shit and it stays on nicely. The platform is very strong and it fix right on the mattress.

Walmart has the best sheets : luxury hotwl. On black friday they usually do one year on 1 year off sale for $29 from $60. Tjmhis are so good that i only use 2 sheets (because i prefere those above the others) for the past 4 years and they still look and feel like new. I wash them frequently because my kids like to jump in my bed. I currently have an 18 inch matress and sheets fit perfect!

Thanks for a meaningful review! Too many people "review" products before they've had much chance to live with them. We've had an original Serafina (Medium) for nearly 9 years, and it's been great for most of that. Starting 1-2 years ago, I've been rising with a sore lower back. A couple of months ago, I rotated the mattress and my lower back issues went away instantly, but are now returning. The 20-year warranty is kind of bogus, in that you can't access that practically. But since I bought it from Costco, I've read that I'm more likely to have success with their customer service. In any case, I consider 7+ years of useful service to be a pretty good outcome for an $800 purchase.
Yeah, I think they are a good value. Our daughter just got the queen size medium one a couple of days ago. We are still very happy with ours.
@@NorthernVikingExplorer Update: Costco looked after us with a warranty replacement, but the 2024 version of this mattress seems to be significantly firmer -- too firm in fact for side-sleeping. We will most likely have to return it, which is sad because we really loved the original version.

Thanks for the review. You made it look very easy. We ordered the exact same model after reading the high reviews online. It arrived last Thursday and we set it up right away. It is now 4 days later and our mattress has not fully expanded. One corner is shorter and the foam it uneven in height all across the mattress. I called the toll free number online nad started the claim process. Hopefully that works out as they will pick up the mattress for me rather than having to haul it back to a warehouse.

Oh no...we just unboxed ours and it still has not flattened out....it has now been 24 hours. If we have to take it back it will sure be a royal pain. Going to give it longer and have added a heater to the room in hopes that helps...it is on the floor because our box spring hasn't arrived yet so perhaps if we get it off the floor that too will help it expand. We bought one of these for another property and it expanded within just a few hours and we slept on it that same night. disappointed therefore in this one.

Thank You. It is a bit warmer than our previous coil mattress however we haven't found it to be a problem. It is not as warm as other mattresses we have tried. We still love it with no regrets of buying.

I just bought the mattress. When it first expanded and I sat on it I found it way to plush similar to the casper mid range mattress but by the time I was ready to go to bed it had really firmed out. Not sure if 100% love it and if the plush would be better. But if you are looking for a firm mattress with a little bit of give. This is the one for you

Very helpful, I can't even imagine how they can call it firm. I can tell you wife is tiny and was sinking quite a bit for a firm. My over 200 pounds would go way down....

I have owned a Costco foam mattress for over 10 years... I bought it after shopping for Tempurpedic and other similar name brand foam mattresses... I could not afford a $1000 plus mattress... which really was more like $3500 plus plus.... so took a chance and bought a king-size from Costco after I had exhausted shopping at the typical mattress places then.... I was inside Costco and notice that they a foam mattress and it was at that time around $649 i think... bought it and still going strong... id say it is firmer and I'm a light #300 plus lbs.... and it has held up great...if I was gonna knock it for any reason it is that it does sleep warmer...but I think that is partly due to the fact that I have it in a bed sack also...to keep bed sweat and body ash from damaging the mattress. Id only consider buying a new mattress if I could sleep cooler but with the bed sack...not sure that is possible... I have also considered adding a Bedjet to cool me down :-)
The new novafoam pearl mattress has a layer of cooling gel that pulls away the heat so its not nearly as hot as the older ones.
a great mattress but to firm for my waist and shoulders so I returned and I have now the medium firm hopefully I'll be better for me.

@ Perhaps Josue is a friend of yours, and that was an "inside joke". If you knew anything at all about mattresses, you'd know it's the lightweight people who will feel pain due to not being heavy enough to press into the mattress.
Bought nova 8 years ago. Had it for five until my dog bit a hole from anxiety while moving. Bought another one. Quality has gone down. Not the same feel and too cloth so thin. Maybe I’ll try this one!

Thanks for the video. Have you noticed any issues with temperature? I tend to sleep hot and I've stayed away from memory foam for both that reason and that when I first got a memory foam bed a LONG time ago, it was too soft, I suppose, and ended up really hurting my back. But, foam tech has changed a lot since then. Oh, and what type of sleepers are you (stomach, back, side)? I tend to do all three.
I am a side sleeper. I still find it the most comfortable mattress that we have ever owned. I have noticed it is warmer than our previous coil mattress but it has not bothered me.

The support is good while sleeping. If you sit on the edge it does sink. I think this is typical with foam mattresses.
Thanks for the review. I just got my mattress today and it appears to be fully expanded after 4 hours. However, i did. Not get any pamphlet with mine. The box was pretty beat up and there was nothing in it besides the mattress. Am i doing any possible harm by sleeping on it now instead of waiting 24/48 hours? It is quite firm and it feels like you are sleeping on top of the mattress. You don't sink in very much. They also sell a softer medium version of this mattress. Thanks for taking the time to watch.

Does it need a box spring? Or can I have it on the floor until I have a solid frame for it? Also does it give off bad chemical smells?
Thanks for the question. We have ours on our box spring. I am not sure what Novaforms policy is for placing it on the floor. You can check out their website and maybe find the answer. Novaformcomfort.com
Company says not to place it on the floor to enable breathing and heat transfer. But it wouldn't hurt for a while to keep on the floor. I ended up purchasing a low profile box spring that is only 4" high. The mattress does unpackage with a mild odor, but that will dissipate after a few days.
@@Writemindedlefty Not so. We've had ours, the medium firm, for 6 years on a regular box spring (instructions said not to keep on floor) and it's still as perfect as it was new. We are nearly 500 lbs together.

Hello! Wondering how your mattress as help up over time? I' watches a different review and about a year in it starts to sag in the middle. Wondering if you guys had that result as well? Thanks!
It has been 2 years and we still love it. I have not noticed any sag in the middle. We would buy this mattress again without any hesitation.
I've had mine for 3 years. My side is softer than the wife's side. Not exactly a "sag" but softer up top. The sides are not supported by the frame and held up really well. That's really not bad for I believe I paid $600 for a queen. My price point is $100 a year. If it holds up for 6 years it would be great. Anything over that would be gravy. The cost of mattresses are getting cheaper and cheaper because it costs less to manufacture these so I am willing to trade out my mattresses every 5 years.
One good thing about getting a mattress from Costco is the return policy... Can't beat it

@@darronds we bought a firm. And like i said, you will need to purchase sheets with "extra deep pockets". I got nice 100% cotton ones at JCP. But they are "crisp" and get very wrinkled. I dont mind bc we dont sleep under the sheets most nights (husband is a foot-sticking-out kinda guy. And we live in FL so its hot
Question the mattress is to hard ? I have 3 hernia on my lower back discs and look for something comfortable no super hard no soft ... and another question the mattress is to hot ?? The mattress is quite firm but we find it comfortable. They also sell a medium mattress that is softer. It is a littler bit warmer than our last coil mattress but not by much. As for it sagging, It has been 2 years since we purchased the mattress and it is still very flat. If you are worried about not liking it you should check out Costco's return policy because it is quite good.
I bought a Casper in a King at Costco and my wife is not a fan due to softness, so I think I will take it back and get this mattress since I have back problems and my wife likes a firm mattress. Is it too firm or does it feel good after a few months? Do you still have it?
It is quite firm but it does soften a little bit. We still have it and love it.

I'm not sure what kind you need. We are using your typical 8" style.
It doesn’t matter. That’s personal preference. Standard box spring height is 9”
Deep pocket or extra deep pocket sheets will fit fine. How long did you let it breath before sleeping on it? My Costco delivery guys did me a favor by bringing it in and unpacking it for me. They took the box with them, thankfully, but...with the box went to package insert.
We slept on it the first night.

Hello this is a great video!!! I just purchased this mattress and the pamphlet says it takes 48 hours to fully expand. Is that how long I have to wait to sleep on it?

I unboxed mine yesterday. It’s been about 17 hours now and it is still not fully expanded. I have the full size. I would say it’s about 75% expanded. It wasn’t comfortable last night sleeping on it since it’s still not fully expanded yet.

One question I have is just about the smell I’ve purchased the nectar mattress The first one I got the smell was so bad that I called them and they had it exchanged the second one even after a few weeks of airing it out there still an odor coming from the mattress

Our mattress had a stale smell for the first day or so. Since then we don't have any smells coming from it.

We still love it, I would buy it again in a heartbeat. The bed is still flat without any divots.
How long does it take to expand into shape
I would say it was 95% expanded within a couple hours and maybe 12 hours to fully expand.
How the heck do you return it if you can’t stuff it back in the box?
Depending on where you live, they will tall you to take it to the landfill and email them a pic of it there.
do you still recommend this mattress after almost 3 years use?
Yes we do. It is still very comfortable and holding up well. There is no sagging in the mattress where we sleep either.

It is holding up extremely well. I would have no issues buying this mattress again. The firm does have cushioning but is definitely very solid 😃 We have a family member who purchased the medium and it is definitely a fair bit softer.

I didn't measure it but it appears to be the full thickness.
