Manor Lords looking like one of the best upcoming games of any genre this year....
Norland also looks good, i played demo and it can be very good game

I played Manor Lords. I think it's a good world builder and it sort of feels like Frostpunk but the RTS for combat is a bit lack luster and there is a lot that they should improv

Everything looks promising but Synergy & Laysara are my top picks. Frostpunk 2 will be awesome for sure but I will suck at it and will end up watching a walkthrough I think.

Another game to be on the lookout for is The Universim which is releasing January 22 from its decade long early access and is something I, personally, am really exited for.
Farthest Frontier is definately worth a good look
The art style and the gameplay of Synergy kinda reminds of the Wandering Village (which I absolutely loved, I wonder if Party would play it).
Laysara summit kingdom will be interesting, played the beta and wanted to play more 😊

I enjoy your previews and look forward to seeing how these games evolve in development. I have been playing Aven Colony, Offworld Trading Company, Frostpunk, Surviving the Aftermath and Surviving Mars and enjoy the settings and challenges they present. I have also enjoyed the City Skylines, Caesar and Anno games.

Great list! Just played the Laysara demo, looks promising! And I would add Pax Augusta to my list, a Roman city builder made by one guy with great historical accuracy!
Have you tried Song of Syx? Very deep and cool city/country builder, its already on EA, so dunno how it fits with these lists, but very worth checking.
Also Infection Free Zone. A zombie post apocalyptic settlement builder, rather than the standard shooter mayhem, you are making a safe haven for people, out of the ruins of the old world.
Sure, there's defense involved, but your focus is in defense, not in gratuitous bloodshed like most zombie games.
Songs of Syx is absolutely a hidden gem. I was astonished when I tried it out. How it isn't more known or popular I do not understand.

I never heard of the first 3 mentioned and intrigued by all of them ! Also looking forward to Laysara, Foundation and the W&R games for a while now.

Fanatic list. Had to add a bunch of these to my wishlist. Norland might be the one I'm most excited for though most of the list looks good.
As a player for years... I can say that you should all look at Foundation. It's now a very impressive and fun game now. Cant wait to play at the full-game

I am enjoying Universim, they've improved it a lot from earliest access. Farthest frontier is also really good
Manor Lords gives me modern day Stronghold vibe.
I hope the devs of _Synergy_ have watched the HBO show _Scavengers Reign_ as no media in recent memory has done a better job of nailing an indifferent alien ecosystem and there has never, in my opinion, been a truly successful sci-fi/alien city builder.

Foundation is great. I haven't played it in a while, but plan to get back to it soon. Definitely a recommend from the state it was in a few updates back.
I want a city builder that’s like Tropico mixed with Manor Lord that has Multiplayer. Thrive seems to be filling that want for now

Kaiserpunk is more interesting to me, though it be more interesting I could build all the weapons from germany in world war 1. That include the Navy.

If you love medieval city builders and you can get through "cartoonish" graphics, you really need to try Foundation. Because of the building system, where you get parts to build castles, churches, taverns etc. instead of already built in churches you just place.. it gives you countless options
With only few (essential) mods you can build whatever you set your mind to.

have you seen or heard anything about Builders Of Egypt? The trailer looks nice but it's the game play I am interested in
The Prologue for Builders of Egypt was recently (ish) updated, now has three missions and some improvements I believe. So there is progress, just slow.

Surprisingly, no comparison to RimWorld was made, even though at least two of these were very similar in looks and/or gameplay.
I know it is not a new game or a game you have not played on the channel very much opposite, but the new dlcs and updates were intriguing. The game I am talking about is humankind.
Metropolis 1998 and Mannor Lords look the most promising to be honest.

Synergy seems really cool but I worry about the publisher, they give such shovelware vibes

War Hospital - far from what was advertised, I was sincerely looking forward to it, but playing it... feels like flash game.

Well you can tell who is creating Life by you. lol
Realistic model and open world is not easy job. One ram usage, render distance and inside building render, AI logics, vehicles and other things. It would required cpu, ram and gpu to run well else it will lag or crashed if you build whole city that is place and build instead of preloaded map buildings and other things. Example satisfactory there are few people did try and did not go well.
No Farthest Frontier?
Not even one of these games picked up my interest tbh
I know that it already released in 2023, but I'd add a more fixed/completed version of Cities Skyline II as a side mention. What we got in 2023 was fun, but definitely not 100%. It really should have been classified as an early access. I think with a few fixes and modding support, CSII will be a lot more polished game this year.
Happy about the 1.0 releases. Early access don't really agree with me.

Roman Triumph is a collection of copy paste/stolen models from the game Grand Ages: Rome... weak.
Starfall Protocol looks like multi-planet Rimworld. I like it.
Northern Lands was the only one I got interested in.
