I played Manor Lords. I think it's a good world builder and it sort of feels like Frostpunk but the RTS for combat is a bit lack luster and there is a lot that they should improv
You produce the best quality strategy games content that I have ever encountered. Always on the bleeding edge of the point and I learn so much about obscure games that I would never notice without your overview. Your love for strategy really shines through. You are the non plus ultra in terms of strategy games content.
Everything looks promising but Synergy & Laysara are my top picks. Frostpunk 2 will be awesome for sure but I will suck at it and will end up watching a walkthrough I think.
Another game to be on the lookout for is The Universim which is releasing January 22 from its decade long early access and is something I, personally, am really exited for.
As a player for years... I can say that you should all look at Foundation. It's now a very impressive and fun game now. Cant wait to play at the full-game
Have you tried Song of Syx? Very deep and cool city/country builder, its already on EA, so dunno how it fits with these lists, but very worth checking. Also Infection Free Zone. A zombie post apocalyptic settlement builder, rather than the standard shooter mayhem, you are making a safe haven for people, out of the ruins of the old world. Sure, there's defense involved, but your focus is in defense, not in gratuitous bloodshed like most zombie games.

I have been playing Aven Colony, Offworld Trading Company, Frostpunk, Surviving the Aftermath and Surviving Mars and enjoy the settings and challenges they present. I have also enjoyed the City Skylines, Caesar and Anno games.
Great list! Just played the Laysara demo, looks promising! And I would add Pax Augusta to my list, a Roman city builder made by one guy with great historical accuracy!
If you love medieval city builders and you can get through "cartoonish" graphics, you really need to try Foundation. Because of the building system, where you get parts to build castles, churches, taverns etc. instead of already built in churches you just place.. it gives you countless options With only few (essential) mods you can build whatever you set your mind to.
I hope the devs of _Synergy_ have watched the HBO show _Scavengers Reign_ as no media in recent memory has done a better job of nailing an indifferent alien ecosystem and there has never, in my opinion, been a truly successful sci-fi/alien city builder.
Foundation is great. I haven't played it in a while, but plan to get back to it soon. Definitely a recommend from the state it was in a few updates back.

The Prologue for Builders of Egypt was recently (ish) updated, now has three missions and some improvements I believe. So there is progress, just slow.
Realistic model and open world is not easy job. One ram usage, render distance and inside building render, AI logics, vehicles and other things. It would required cpu, ram and gpu to run well else it will lag or crashed if you build whole city that is place and build instead of preloaded map buildings and other things. Example satisfactory there are few people did try and did not go well.

I know that it already released in 2023, but I'd add a more fixed/completed version of Cities Skyline II as a side mention. What we got in 2023 was fun, but definitely not 100%. It really should have been classified as an early access. I think with a few fixes and modding support, CSII will be a lot more polished game this year.

The art style and the gameplay of Synergy kinda reminds of the Wandering Village (which I absolutely loved, I wonder if Party would play it).

Songs of Syx is absolutely a hidden gem. I was astonished when I tried it out. How it isn't more known or popular I do not understand.

Kaiserpunk is more interesting to me, though it be more interesting I could build all the weapons from germany in world war 1. That include the Navy.
