NYO-USA rehearses the Allegro molto vivace from Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 in B Minor, Op. 74, “Pathétique,” led by conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto.
Each summer, Carnegie Hall’s national youth ensembles bring together the brightest young American instrumentalists for intensive training and performances on some of the world’s greatest stages. All three programs are free and led by an all-star faculty of professional musicians, giving students the opportunity to hone their talents while working with the world’s finest artists. As national ensembles, these programs include a broad range of musicians from across the country that reflect the exceptional talent and diversity of the United States.
In summer 2021, the national youth ensembles will convene at Purchase College, State University of New York, for a month of music making and mentorship, capped by digital performances. Due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19, the national youth ensembles will not tour this summer, and will not play at Carnegie Hall.

Hoffentlich nach der Überwindung der technischen Schwierigkeiten hat der Herr Prieto dieses Meisterwerk tatsächlich als Größe Meisterwerk zum Anklang brachte. Manchmal diese Symphony besser mit Studenten Orkestr zu spielen. Sie können spielen mit mehr Begeisterung und ohne jegliche Routine.
