I got pulled over in the cappuccino while playing the racing-line game, the policeman thought I was drunk and didn't understand my explanation :) Worth noting the Cappuccino makes much more sense once it has some more power, as standard the 63bhp is not enough to get it moving properly. Once you double it (which is very easy thanks to the iron block, and the fact it's crippled by the standard ecu and restrictive exhaust system) it's much more fun! The other funny thing is when you remove the roof the whole car flexes, and it totally changes the driving experience to a more comfy one (this probably isn't intentional)

I will be dropping in the drivetrain out of a 2019+ Triumph Rocket III with the intention of building for Time Attack. Eventually, the new motor will be boosted but I am going to keep it NA for a bit to work out the qwerks. 👍
If that does not work buy a playstation 5 or playstation 4 Pro with gran turismo 7 boom suzuki capuchio is in the game fully modled including Honda beat, Honda s660 and daihatsu copen
Couple interesting notes: Engine: the AZ1 and Cappuccino have the exact same engine. It was jointly developed by Suzuki and Mazda. Revving: While the Beat loves to rev all the way to redline where it makes it's power, and the Cappuccino falls off well before redline, the Cap can actually rev all the way to 9500rpm before it's rev-limiter despite that being basically useless. The Cappuccino makes a great 3rd car as you say, but it can be daily driven. I've done so for a few months when other cars were broken.

Plenty of room for anything I want to do with it. 3-4 bags of groceries in the trunk, and the passenger footwell is huge so you can fit more bags down there. I'm 6'3" and I fit with room to spare (though the Capp is not fat person-friendly, so take that under advisement if you want one). It really is the perfect-size car, and it's the only car I've ever been in aside from a Lotus 7 where I didn't think "I wish this was smaller."
I'd love to have one of those, but I think my chances of fitting are slim. Also, couldn't help but notice, 1:43 you can race a Wagon R in Gran Turismo. Sweet!
Funny enough, the Wagon R shares the same engine block, with the Cappuccino doesn't have the DOHC head. And the "R" in the Suzuki Wagon R is for "Relaxation/Revolution" haha I imagine with some Cappuccino bits, the Wagon R could be a wicked little rocket! hmmm ideas :D
Driving the Cappacinno on U.S. roads is like running a 1/32-scale slot car on a track made for 1/24-scale cars, we did that 55 years ago and the cars never touched each other.
Thank you for the informational review. Strange many only mention 3 KEI Cars: Mazda AZ-1 (Suzuki Cara) and the Cappuccino, no one mentions the Nissan Figaro which I think is way cool retro style, as are the AWD Micro-Vans
I have an NA Miata, and I fit in it, though it is a little awkward to get in and out of sometimes. There is a Cappuccino in my buildings parkade, I look at that and I wouldn't even try to get in it. Not much makes a Miata look like a big car, but a Cappuccino makes a Miata look like a big car haha. Super cool little cars though.
Also note, the Cappuccino IS actually a mid engined car, just front-mid engined. This is because the entirety of the engine sits inboard of the strut towers. So it gives it a very very good and super manageable weight-distribution. Though the Cappuccino is close, it's not quite 50/50 until you have a passenger... yes, a single passenger has enough influence on the ~ 750kg / 1700lbs car to change it's weight distribution... for the better :) But if you pop a bunch of stuff in the trunk, you can really make it handle weird! HAHA
If I'm being careful I can get mine a touch over 50mpg highway. City is closer to low-mid 30s. I think the lowest I've ever gotten it was a 30mpg average. Most of the time it's right about 40mpg combined though
Gonna buy one pretty soon. I got a GTI for groceries and some fun on the backroads. This will be my my new backroad car and looking forward to making a nice body kit for it.
The Autozam AZ1 was designed by Mazda but since they did not have the engineering capability to make a key car, they asked Suzuki. It's all Suzuki engineering. The engine is the F6A, that equips the Cappuccino and also the Autozam. So, yeah, it's all the same engine 😂

I would love to get a Cappuccino. Unfortunately, since I'm in CA, they have stupid emissions laws. It's the one Kei car I really, really wanna get.
