I say do a full refresh on the S chassis including P.R.I.M.E.R while you tear down the S550 gremlins which will definitely pop up.

Dang that engine has been a champion! Definitely deserves the refresh. My guess with the strange texture on the head surface is that it was detonation from going slightly lean and/or the surface getting too hot there by the exhaust valves and spark plug. Haven't seen it look exactly like that before, but would make sense. The G-Series turbo will be a huge step up from your older style Garrett, as you know. That plus the compression and cams is gonna be wiiild. Super excited to see Stangzilla drift!

Such a cool S550. One of my favorite wraps ever. Would be good to get the S14 dialed. Better to take time to cover all the bases now so it will be a reliable shredder in the future.

S14 is in need of some overdue loving tender care. A thorough refresh without rushing. The Mustang needs a good test to work out all the bugs and adjustments to get it dialed in.
I just like watching trevor wrench and build things. Would love to see a more relatable build. Like a budget build. Use whatever amount to buy a car and see how much motorsport things you can do with it on a budget. Like drifting, drag racing, grip racing, burnouts, etc. just a idea.

What happened to Banging Gears?
i hope you had piston to wall clearance checked if you used the same sized pistons as the ones that came out of the block. Just went through this with my evo build and had to get oversized pistons and bore out the block even though the walls looked great. Machine shop said he has almost never seen a used motor even if lower milage be able to use the standard size pistons because the holes oval overtime.
Ive gotten away with it on lower hp builds but nothing that has substantial boost pressure going through it, and certainly not through a block that costs as much as a 2jz lol

isnt 10:1 a little high for boost or much boost.. i had to put a head spacer in.

Yes built head is300 GTE bottom end. 2JZGE and build it way better and cheaper and handle more HP. Or buy 2JZGTE sell supra head make your money back omg GTE head lol
