Einwinterung unseres Expeditionsmobils / Winterizing our expedition vehicle

This is what we do to winterize our expedition vehicle. As our Benny stands in a barn, which is open to the side, there can be icy temperatures inside the barn. Especially here in Switzerland. So we have to prepare our vehicle a bit for winter time. Always check the owner's manual for your specific vehicle.
Nun geht´s ans Einwintern von unserem Benny. Da es in der Scheune auch ganz gerne mal eisige Temperaturen gibt, müssen wir unser Fahrzeug darauf vorbereiten. Was es alles zu tun gibt, zeigen wir euch hier. Die Arbeiten beziehen sich auf den Mercedes Vario. Die Betriebsanleitung eures Fahrzeugs kann andere/weitere Arbeiten vorsehen.

How do you ind the duel wheels for expedition driving?

The Mercedes Vario has a lot of capabilities, but is not made for hardcore offroad driving. So on normal dirt tracks the twin wheels are not really a problem. And they offer more safety while driving. Have a look to our video about offroad training with the Vario.

Thanks for your message. Our next destination in 2019 will be Iceland. We will be there for more than 3 months.
