I started focusing on shoulders more lately since my tendinitis in my shoulders got better. I started lateral raises like you at 10 and 12.5 lb dumbells. It's been a few weeks, and now I'm using 20 lb dumbells.

With the dumbbell reverse flye, so that my back doesn’t become a limiting factor with the weights I can use, I do them while resting my forehead on a towel placed on my kitchen counter. If I’m in a gym, I’ll lie prone on an incline bench. Yes, I know that I’m also supposed to exercise my back, but I prefer to do that separately so that I can concentrate on my shoulders here.
Sometimes a movement just feels exceptional - therefore why should you stop at a conventional rep/set range? I think you can overtrain a bit in bodybuilding- it's what has brought some of the most remembered physiques in the sport.
@@dandrescher4098 also the crazy endurance and recovery these guys get from drugs and training for such a long time. Might as well get that crazy pump in even if it's not on program
