There was actually Moon Sua who was that time still a YG trainee participated in Unpretty Rapstar. But well Moon Sua didnt make it to debut under YG tho

It isn’t that deep tbh. If they did not make the cut in a Chinese survival show, they wouldn’t make it as final member of Babymonster. YGE do not play around with their groups. You cannot just debut just because you’re good enough. You have to meet their standard, not the industry standard but YGE’s standard. How many groups do you see that is being marketed solely because of their talent. The first ep of The Last Evaluation, they were already introduced as seven ACES. They were just a bunch of trainees at that time, not the members. The 7 trainees that survived till last evaluation were our 7 girls. Then yg decided to keep all 7 of them. And I am 100% sure that being a 6month old group,they are absolutely good being 7.They have shown us what they can... But there is lot more for them to show us.... Almost all of them can compose songs..They have already proven to us in last evaluation. And their harmony as a group is just amazing to me... So now its better not to think if they were would it be better. Bcoz they were just trainees and not only them, others including hanbyul and stella even showed support to them when bm were introduced and when debuted too... So this is the process of survival and elimination and our 7 girls survived till the end of evaluation with their solid skills🔥🔥🔥

Not only in bm, even in many other grps there were other trainees who were eliminated through the evaluations and survival programs.. & these were never bm's members. Only 7 trainees were officially mentioned and introduced by yg and they are our 7girls in babymonster.... That's It!!!

There were actually up to 12 predebut trainees who were around right before the last evaluation. It was mentioned by a yg employee. Trainee group Team A & B were also supposed to be Baemon even before that, but most of the trainees left before or during the pandemic. But in those leaked trainee clips, it was to be certain that Baemon was always going to be within the 4 to 7 member range.
I'm always suspicious about anything attributed to an anonymous "yg employee". In my experience that type of phrase often turns out to even just be a translation error. Often, when I've been able to check the original Korean language source, it just says, in Korean, something like "someone connected to YG Entertainment" or "someone involved in the entertainment industry"....which actually can mean anything. It can even mean that the person who made up the report doesn't even have any real source. We saw a lot of that during all the rumors about the Blackpink contract situation...and most of those reports turned out to be very wrong.
You can’t say that they were lost members if they were never members to begin with. Just because they trained with them doesn’t mean that they were part of the group. I am sure that these 2 trainees were not the only one’s that didn’t make the group. This is true with all groups especially in KPop. YG trains these people for years but it doesn’t mean that they will debut. At the end of the day it depends on the big bosses like YG to decide who will be in the group or not.

What i think is they trained everyone really well ofcourse its yg . But the most talented members are the current members of babymonster. others were really good too but can't beat talents of current members cause currently each member of babymonster can sing, rap , dance , compose , write , produce songs really well we all saw it , ruka sang pharita high notes in encore of see you there Seoul it was really scary for me like , a really good rapper is singing like this well ha ha. It's simple. If they were in the debut lineup they simply did not make the cut. They're talented but neither Vicky or Jane is outperforming the current BM lineup.
When you see someone with an idol aura, you kind of know. For example, when you see Wonyoung of IVE, you can see her aura unlike ordinary girls. But I don't see any aura from these two girls.

But the way they report it, they make it sound like they were definitely members of some "final lineup" and then were kicked out. Very misleading. Ahyeon's case is totally different. She was in fact the FIRST member of Babymonster who was OFFICIALLY announced by Yang Hyun Suk himself. So she was already an officially confirmed member. The people talked about in this video were never officially confirmed as members of anything. They were just members of a large pool of trainees who were being evaluated as potential members, in circumstances where everyone knew that most of the trainees in the pool would not become members.
Even though you're good, that doesn't necessarily translate into debuting, or that you'll fit the group dynamics. Each member has to have exceptional talent, by that it means you have to bring something different to the table, have youthful visuals that fits the group’s image, and are within a similar age range. I get it why some girls with a mature older look are let go simply bc it didn’t visuals fit the groups image.
Actually YG planned for 5 member girl group even until the announcement after final evaluation (Planned other girl groups for Asa and Rora, instead). He changed his mind after seeing huge support for Asa and Rora.

They are not even come to korea so they are not even in a lineup of babymonster project. The concept of babymonster is to debut a group that have age of between 15 - 20. Whoever has more age than this wouldn't be in the lineup. So, these two never be in the lineup from day 1. YG never let their debut member to be seen before debut.
Actually 2000 liner is not old. There is 2001-2011 in Unis and 2001-2010 in Saymyname, and the age gap between the oldest to the second oldest is quite big! I think it’s about them didn’t prove their skills much in the company in China and Youth With You S2, so I think they didn’t make it to Korea to continue to the next step!❤

The truth, whoever it may hurt, if you are a trainer you should not create expectations in anything, you are just a trainer, if you do not pass it is for a reason! "pre-debut member" is an oxymoron. It's like calling a candidate in a presidential election a "pre-election president". A trainee is not a "member" of an official group...when neither the group nor the member has debuted. At that point it's still only about things that maybe will or maybe won't happen. A more accurate term for these types of trainees is that they were "candidates" who were being considered for potentially/maybe becoming members. It's backwards to imply that they were confirmed to be members and then were kicked out or decided not to be members. The process always starts out with many trainees who are only candidates (and not "members" of anything other than a pool of trainees who maybe have a shot at debuting as members of an official group). We probably can't even talk about a "final lineup" until we get to the point in time where YG was willing to create an official YG-produced pre-debut/promotional reality show (to be seen by the public) for the 7 members who eventually became the official members of Babymonster. Even then, there was a possibility that someone could be eliminated if for some reason they turned out to be very unpopular or problematic in the official pre-debut promotions. But generally, when the official pre-debut promotions begin, it's safe to say that we're seeing the "final lineup" and anyone who is not included in the official pre-debut promotions was eliminated BEFORE the final lineup was decided.

I am sure that these 2 trainees were not the only one’s that didn’t make the group. This is true with all groups especially in KPop. YG trains these people for years but it doesn’t mean that they will debut. At the end of the day it depends on the big bosses like YG to decide who will be in the group or not.

Yeah. I always get frustrated with these kinds of reports that are based on rumors, guesses and unofficial things. They try to make it sound like there was already an official group and these trainees got kicked out of the group or decided to leave the group. The reality is that the process always starts with a large pool of trainees who are only being evaluated as candidates who maybe, potentially, possibly could eventually be selected for the planned future group. Even the "final lineup" for Babymonster was not a real thing until YG decided which 7 trainees would appear in the "Last Evaluation" and "Introductions" official pre-debut promotional shows.
They had 10 pre-debut members, not 9. In some shots in babymonster survival u can see 3 more girls blurred out

What i think is they trained everyone really well ofcourse its yg . But the most talented members are the current members of babymonster. others were really good too but can't beat talents of current members cause currently each member of babymonster can sing, rap , dance , compose , write , produce songs really well we all saw it , ruka sang pharita high notes in encore of see you there Seoul it was really scary for me like , a really good rapper is singing like this well ha ha. And ruka , rami , asa said that we want to release our self composed songs they said it in interview magazine with vivi japan. Its like a complete package.

She was not rumour, she is The Black Label ex trainee, The Black Label used to be a sub-label of YG that’s why many ppl thought she will be in Baemon!

There was no "final lineup" until YG decided which 7 trainees would appear in the official pre-debut promotional shows, namely, the "Last Evaluation" and "Introduction" series. Before that, it's just a large pool of trainees competing and hoping to be selected. The video here (and similar reports in the past) make people confused with inaccurate terminology. It's silly to talk about someone being a "member" of Babymonster who then "left" Babymonster years before Babymonster even officially debuted. It's silly to talk about someone leaving the "final lineup" at a time when there could not be a final lineup. Even during the official pre-debut promotions, YG refused to confirm who would be and who would not be the final members.

In this video they're talking about trainees who actually were only candidates who MAYBE had a shot at becoming members of a planned future group. But the way they report it, they make it sound like they were definitely members of some "final lineup" and then were kicked out. Very misleading. Ahyeon's case is totally different. She was in fact the FIRST member of Babymonster who was OFFICIALLY announced by Yang Hyun Suk himself. So she was already an officially confirmed member. The people talked about in this video were never officially confirmed as members of anything. They were just members of a large pool of trainees who were being evaluated as potential members, in circumstances where everyone knew that most of the trainees in the pool would not become members.
Ahyeon had already been chosen, only sick because of her hiatus, beyond the imagination of many she did debut.
They were not that great, I mean, they are talented but not at the level that the current BM members are.

Even though you're good, that doesn't necessarily translate into debuting, or that you'll fit the group dynamics. Each member has to have exceptional talent, by that it means you have to bring something different to the table, have youthful visuals that fits the group’s image, and are within a similar age range. I get it why some girls with a mature older look are let go simply bc it didn’t visuals fit the groups image.

Actually YG planned for 5 member girl group even until the announcement after final evaluation (Planned other girl groups for Asa and Rora, instead). He changed his mind after seeing huge support for Asa and Rora.

They are not even come to korea so they are not even in a lineup of babymonster project. The concept of babymonster is to debut a group that have age of between 15 - 20. Whoever has more age than this wouldn't be in the lineup. So, these two never be in the lineup from day 1. YG never let their debut member to be seen before debut.
Actually 2000 liner is not old. There is 2001-2011 in Unis and 2001-2010 in Saymyname, and the age gap between the oldest to the second oldest is quite big! I think it’s about them didn’t prove their skills much in the company in China and Youth With You S2, so I think they didn’t make it to Korea to continue to the next step!❤

The truth, whoever it may hurt, if you are a trainer you should not create expectations in anything, you are just a trainer, if you do not pass it is for a reason! Something is missing, that's all, YG does not debut just anyone, they do not debut only people who tell them what to do, they need artists who give opinions, who move on their own... many left YG and others were not selected and that is how it is, personally I prefer the current lineup, I do not see anyone else being part of BM..

"pre-debut member" is an oxymoron. It's like calling a candidate in a presidential election a "pre-election president". A trainee is not a "member" of an official group...when neither the group nor the member has debuted. At that point it's still only about things that maybe will or maybe won't happen. A more accurate term for these types of trainees is that they were "candidates" who were being considered for potentially/maybe becoming members. It's backwards to imply that they were confirmed to be members and then were kicked out or decided not to be members. The process always starts out with many trainees who are only candidates (and not "members" of anything other than a pool of trainees who maybe have a shot at debuting as members of an official group). We probably can't even talk about a "final lineup" until we get to the point in time where YG was willing to create an official YG-produced pre-debut/promotional reality show (to be seen by the public) for the 7 members who eventually became the official members of Babymonster. Even then, there was a possibility that someone could be eliminated if for some reason they turned out to be very unpopular or problematic in the official pre-debut promotions. But generally, when the official pre-debut promotions begin, it's safe to say that we're seeing the "final lineup" and anyone who is not included in the official pre-debut promotions was eliminated BEFORE the final lineup was decided.
