Gen Xer and I know more than one of these guys. I could not compete with them when I was an older teenager/young adult and they usually had most or all of these qualities: Backwards hat, early bloomer (usually taller with muscles or husky build), tattoos, emotionally unstable, smelled like cigarettes (or other things you can smoke), run ins with the law, and loved to party. Girls from the wrong side of the tracks and from well to do families of every different ethnicity or background alike were obsessed with them and ignored more boring responsible guys like myself. Fast forward to their thirties and they have financial problems, if they have kids/marriage, the wife/girlfriend had left them. When they hit their forties they are broke and driving a wreck of a car, have health problems, and look awful from years of partying and substance abuse - the same cohort of women then only give them pity.

Living in Asia, I would say that things are much different here. I see it quite often mid 30's to early 40 year old men marrying women in early 20's. It is probably a win win for most of them. The guy gets a pretty woman and the woman gets a financially secure man. I am 28 right now and am just starting to see the trajectory for the future. If I wait to marry around 35, I think that would be a good chance to be at peak value. Some guys get rich young, but for the most part most guys tend to get rich around the 35-50 year old mark. This is true from my own experience. In high school, I was the ugly, skinny, nerdy Asian kid who was pretty much invisible to girls. In my mid-20s though, I started to really mature into my looks. I was known as the "hot guy" and one of the most popular guys in my med school class. I agree with most of what you say but saying that the ideal for men is an 18 year old pure woman is not only unrealistic but kind of strange, 18 is too normally too young for someone to date a someone in their mid 20s, and in order to have a lasting relationship people need to gain some experience first. Actually high value professional women. I believe date less through online sources. I think they are more risk averse. These type of women you usually need to meet through friends, at work, at church, parents, a trusted contact, etc. I don't think it is a party guy they dont like. Living in Asia, I would say that things are much different here. I see it quite often mid 30's to early 40 year old men marrying women in early 20's. It is probably a win win for most of them. The guy gets a pretty woman and the woman gets a financially secure man. I am 28 right now and am just starting to see the trajectory for the future. If I wait to marry around 35, I think that would be a good chance to be at peak value. Some guys get rich young, but for the most part most guys tend to get rich around the 35-50 year old mark. Some guys never experience making a lot of money. I used to work in Law and was able to see a lot of people's income tax returns. I was actually surprised that most people in America only make around $30,000 to $70,000. It was very rare to see someone making over $100K. Now I have at least a pretty good career but my life quality overall is still quite low. A good analogy is a developing country. Just an advice with good intent: the bike lock you use on your folding bike is not secure, it can be cut in less than 5 seconds without a power tool. Get a chain(10 mm links) and lock, or a D-lock/U-lock.

This is true from my own experience. In high school, I was the ugly, skinny, nerdy Asian kid who was pretty much invisible to girls. In my mid-20s though, I started to really mature into my looks. I was known as the "hot guy" and one of the most popular guys in my med school class. Now, I get crazy attention from women (I've had women walking on the street and at clubs come up to me and tell me I'm really handsome). Pair that with a good, high-status career (doctor), and my dating life has never been better. At my 5-year high school reunion, the chads in my school had become fat and most of them had average 50-60k desk jobs. The popular girls in my class, who had never even noticed me in high school, started to be all flirty with me and ask for my number to "keep in touch" lmaoo.

I agree with most of what you say but saying that the ideal for men is an 18 year old pure woman is not only unrealistic but kind of strange, 18 is too normally too young for someone to date a someone in their mid 20s, and in order to have a lasting relationship people need to gain some experience first. Actually high value professional women. I believe date less through online sources. I think they are more risk averse.
