I think CA should do a "minor" DLC - one that includes a unit for each race. It doesn't have to be anything massive for each - a bit like an ROR. But instead of having to get a high level lord to unlock, you have to preform a specific quest, or capture a specific city ect... Like VC's would unlock this, the Dawi would get Daemon slayers for retaking Kraka-Drak ect... Realising that would be a ridiculous number of units - so I'm realising that would mean a lot of work and prolly be too expensive. But it would add flavour AND give you incentive to go in different directions with your campain ect... Great vid as always!
@@BooGulley normally I'm not big on the whole "just make a mod for it" thing when it comes to dlc ideas. mods take time to make that people can't/don't want to spend on it and CA has significantly more resources than any random modder when it comes to adding new content. But in this case this mod basically already does exist, just split between 2-3 mods per race.
Nice and quick. A lot of other lore channels just sort of lean into 30-40 minute rambling segments which is okay if you're really into them but I think it's still a bit much to ask of the audience, especially if the person narrating is just sort of not forming a coherent point. Seeing more related lore stuff to the warhammer universe and 40k as well would be neat. Thanks for making this.
Loved Dark Omen back in the day - Commander Bernhardt was a right character! I've always wondered why he hasn't appeared as part of the Empire in TW Warhammer games, also Ragnar's Wolves.
Missed those lore videos, thanks ! Also, since Dark Omen was mentioned, still hope the Morgan Bernhardt and the Grudgebringers come back in some capacity, if they ever release a Dogs of War type of 'faction' DLC, and also hope Grey Seer Thanquol makes an appearance, too, perhaps as a hero or something, he's pure chaos even compared to his kind. (I know he wasn't in Dark Omen, just to be sure, just part of this era) Edit: Love that reference at 6:45
Awesome video! It could be interesting to see a video that starts with a lot of lore about a unit, and then afterwards closely follows that unit, zoomed in, in a couple of battles. Checking the unit's stats and abilities compared to the enemies it encounters and seeing how 'its lore translates to stats which translates to battle animations'
If necromancy can take hold of a chaotic entity like Krell why not the equivalent of "good" One would think that if you can steal from the mighty chaos gods a puny backwater bath girl should not pose much of a problem 🛀
I think they're cool. It would make sense that some grail knights possibly felt duped by an elf and were upset about so took the chance to come back and cause problems.
Dark Omen was awesome, Shadow of the Horned Rat as well. I could never finish that last one as a kid in the nineties, but I finally did it on a GoG version I found a couple of years ago. Took me a whole night and I had to get pretty drunk for it though. True oldhammer.
Dark Omen was a truly awesome game back in the day; honestly, I lost count of the number of times I must've played through it... nice to see it still get referenced more than two decades after it's initial release! _Side note..._ To me, the so-called 'Dread King' will pretty much always be Nagash, even if he was never specifically named as such... while I realise GeeDubs have tried to retcon a lot of their older 'lore', let us not forget that these are the same people trying to convince everyone that Age of Shitemar is an actual thing - _hence,_ personally, I'm inclined to take anything they have to say with a *HEFTY* grain of salt..!
@@G--lp7xq _M-kaaay..._ And, the fact he just happens to have a metallic claw _just_ like Nagash - not to mention dossing at his pyramid(!) - is all just a big coinkeydink, hm..?
Nice to see some lore about the Black Grail Knights! I still hope that we will eventually see them offically in WH3 by CA in a VC/Undead Bretonnia Minor Faction.
Duke Maldread had large support to his claim on the throne and most likely include Grail Knights who genially believed him to be a real thing. I think that the Duke let these knights drink from the Black Grail as a gift or strengthen their bonds , thus opening them for corruption down the line to become something more than your average undead.
yeah seems right in line with what happened. Maldred did a great job consolidating his power and providing "proof" for his claim to the throne. solid timing and gameplan, just fell apart in the end
I frickin loved Dark Omen! So much atmosphere. I played it on Playstation, I don't know how I managed to enjoy it so much with those controls, but I did haha. Even if their take on Mannfred and other characters was a bit cartoonish, the whole living dead situation felt genuinely scary and the Warhammer world they created was so bleak and dark. The plot isn't anything to write home about, but just the traversing across the Old World and south of it was so enjoyable. I hate this term, but it definitely felt felt "lived in" and distinct.
I think they’re gonna swing for the fences in the first lord pack after Chaos Dwarfs. It will be a triple lord pack with Vampires, Bretonnia and Kislev adding 1 lord to each.
Odd thought occurs: You know how there ae only 16 crucible knights in Elden Ring and they don;t respawn? If there was ever a souls-like warhammer game (however unlikely), these guys could work in a similar way.
A little off topic but if anyone remembers warhammer mark of chaos/battlemarch. Im looking for suggestions in games that are similar (rts with rpg and story driven narrative)
Warhammer: Shadow of The Horned Rat and its sequel, Dark Omen, mentioned in the video. Be warned though: these games are a bit dated by today's standards (especially SoTHR with it's clunky controls)

Dark Omen was literally my first pc game i've ever owned, i'm hugging it right now.

Yes we need this you suggest
Just make it a mod
I would much prefer Mousillon as a Bretonnain subrace with combined VC and Bretonnian troops and Black Grail Knights as a unique unit

Your warhammer lore videos are seriously some of the best on TH-cam. Keep up the great work man.

Can not wait for that mousillon faction mod. It was one of my favorites in warhammer 2.
You know what...as much as I love Warhammer Fantasy I think I have healed enough to hear your take on some Age Of Sigmar lore..

they could add mousilon and bastone the poon slayer

Wake up babe new milkandcookiesTW video
CA: no we can't bring out dlc on a regular basis.
The players:
Excellent timing I've just finished red duke by CL Werner
I really really hope we would get a remake...
As they say truth is stranger than fiction.
This came out at the same time sotek did something similar… do you guys know something we don’t? :^)
Or maybe it was on people's minds because due to the recently released mod
just coincidence because of the mod I imagine!
