I have this transmission in my Chrysler 300, and it really shifts beautifully! It also feels like a strong transmission, and ZF recommends replacing the filter and fluid by 150 000 kms, using green ZF fluid only! 😊
Fluid will last “the life time if the vehicle”. “Fluid change recommended at 70,000 - 80,000 mile. If you’re only getting 70,000 to 80,000 miles life out of your vehicle you must be using it to haul wild lions through the Kroger Wild Life Preserve.
good evening, I have one too the problem with the bmw 420 2.0 8zf gearbox when I start the car, starting in P, it moves forward by 1 cm, and with the handbrake pulled, a torque is felt, and a click is heard when it moves, what could be the reason? I live in Romania and no one cares, it shifts well, it doesn't grind, the only problem is this when starting, can you give me some advice please, sorry for my English, thank you!
Sorry but i have to said this gearbox in my bmw x3 is awful. it's behave jerky , lag, hesitate compare to 7g-tronic mecedes in my previous car is much better to drive.
Hi ....I have prior driven a (then) brand new F25 X3 2.0d SE at model launch. I also own a Mercedes S212 with 6:54 7G box. The ZF 8 speed box I tried (believed 1st Gen 8HP45) was far superior to the Daimler AG MB 7G Box in terms of driver involvement. I have not driven an early model X3 with auto but have owned a 2002 X5 with ZF5HP24 which in my opinion was ok but not amazing. My 7G in comfort mode in full auto is smooth but I prefered the ZF 8 speed for manual (driver selected) changes. Maybe try another car same as yours to check if your car maybe has issues. Perhaps a reset might help. I am not an expert re auto boxes so sorry but unlikely to be able to help further.
@@nicolascrescimone oh that’s sounds much worse than my experience. Mine sounds like a supercharger whine. It’s embarrassing when reversing lol. Hopefully you got it all sorted.

После этого я зауважал ВАЗ (LADA) на АКПП, осталось допилить сервопривод и поднастроить ПО
На каком АКПП вы зауважали Ладу ?Что за сервопривод ?У акпп низкий кпд, особенно где нет блокировки.Согласен ,что узлы сложные на 8hp,я ездил есть и лаунч но меня не впечатлила .У меня была АКПП на ауди 6hp19 с блокировкой (с первой передачи )бублика,до неё я ездил на DSG 6, снова перешёл на DSG 6 .DSG быстрее щёлкает передачи 8мс,против 8hp 200ms. На DSG высокий КПД и другие ощущения от езды, все таже механика,только с быстрым переключением.
This is my first car with the ZF-HP8 gearbox. I can't go back. It's such a great gearbox in manual mode.

They didn't decieve you. You had to find out what the term lifetime means.
A lot of people say that this feels AMAZING.
No hiccups in my m235i for 120000km. It floats and goes fine and 6L / 100km on highway❤❤❤

I think this is normal, when you put it in drive, it applies a minimal torque to the wheels to stop roll back, this is what you are feeling.
What i do is push brake then handbrake off , the let go of the brake then brake again then put into drive , then you should not have that problem

@@Andy-zy6yk BMW 1er is using Aisin transmission, not the ZF one.
@@Gabriel-km2xithe new ones 2019 onward use the Aisin however the F20/21 bmw 1 series uses the ZF 8HP
