This is the same thing that I found when I went to the Philippines, they are some of the most hospitable people in the world. Come as a stranger , but leave as a friend! Could not have explained it, any better than that !
This guy makes me so proud to be a Filipino. When he said my home is your home.It makes me teary eyed.I am so deeply touched. This is how good natured and kind we should all be as human beings.
Iam real,y humbled as a Filipino how you showcased our culture in your vlogs. Your vlogs are far much better than other vlogs and even the documentaries of broadcast journalists from GMA ABS CBN. TV 5 who only knows negativity, poverty, lack of peace and order that seemed this country will not be able to rise from the mire. Always criticizing the govt. But they themselves cannot do anything for the good of this country. I salute you as a Filipino. I am your huge fan and will continue to follow and watch your future vlogs, Kumandet Daot. May God bless you more and keep you safe at all times.
They criticize the government, because the government needs it and hopefully to improve and become better. They need to be more open, hopefully you are too.
Too much criticism and negativity will not do any good. I have been living in this country for 67 years and I know how the media lambast the gov which is also their govt. Unlike the foreigners who appreciate the country and its culturr and even the governance. Journalism is not supposed to be streaked with personal opinions, but they do it almost every time. Their docus almost always about squatters, poverty in the countryside, sickness which I think is not geared towards the betterment of the country. This is my own opinion. I respect yours
I'm subscribing to your channel. So grateful for appreciating our country. I hope you could visit the Philippines again. Have a wonderful day, grandpa!
You will come as a stranger but you will go as a friend...really nice...life as it is...God Bless you kumander and the your friends...good to see you making memories again with your good old friends.
Thank you kumander D for recognizing our tribes.such a good gesture.we are ONE with all tribes under God's providential care.God bless you and be safe always.
I don't know why I always feel nostalgic watching your videos -it must be the heartfelt display of your admiration for the Philippines. What I see is an authentic and sincere desire to showcase the innate beauty of the Philippines and its people alongside the passion to give back to their kindness. Kudos to you KD.
Kumander, I assume David is from Iloilo originally. My maternal grandmother is from Iloilo, and Aklan to be very specific. My cousins there speak Ilongo. I've been there. Hospitality is, indeed a Filipino characteristic that is very endearing. Most of my country folk are poor but there's something so precious that, no amount of money can ever pay and that is hospitality without expectations of monetary re-payment or remuneration. They will share with you what they have because they value you as a human being and I'm very grateful that you are presenting this trait; a wonderful, priceless trait of my people. One oftentimes forgets these wonderful human traits of one's own kind, but you remind me and my fellow Filipinos who have left and moved to "greener pastures" to be PROUD of what and who we are. I salute you KUMANDER, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. ...Cheers...American-Filipino on the West Coast of the USA.
Thank you Kumander Daot for liking Philippines! I salute you including Finn, Kulas, 8 miles from home añd others who Loved filming Philippines. God bless always!
Kumander, Kulas and Finn chose to stay in the province and they really immersed with the locals. Eight miles just started and has long way to go if they really want to live like locals do.
This video is 5* for so many reasons, your humble character, your respect and love for my fathers land, your professionalism, upgraded filming and editing skills and your love for what you are doing! Absolutely beautiful to watch 👌🏼❤️
You are getting very good at these documentaries. Honestly there is something about your voice and personality that makes me feel I am watching something the BBC produced. I also love the fact that you show more of the Philippines than any othe youtuber I watch. There is so much more to love there than the cities. THANK YOU!
That is such an honor for them to adopt you. The T’Boli were one of the Philippine’s National Treasure. I love the T’Bolis, one of our helpers used to be a TBoli, they are so friendly and quiet. We used to live in Tacurong, SK. I love the T’Bolis. That are so colorful and just warm. Thank you David for dedicating your life serving these tribes.
I hoped you would do Vlogs like this. You showcased your talent for historical and cultural locations in the U.K. and I felt you could do the same in Mindanao. You did not disappoint Kumander! This vlog series is going to be your best yet. We were captivated by your journey to T’boli. We can’t wait to see that beautiful lake in the mountain!
I traveled down the east coast of the Philippines a couple of years ago end up spending 9 months there, meeting the locals, learning about local culture & history of all the Provinces & Burrungay's was the most amazing & educational time I have ever had traveling. I would recommend it to anybody,The people of the Philippines are the most friendly & accepting people I have ever met in 20 yrs of traveling. its here in the Philippines is where I learnt the true meaning of Family.
Wow! Tracing back places you’ve been to and joining a family who nursed you is an act of cordiality! This is emotional. Thank you KD and looking forward to more thrills.
Wonderful. I’ve learned about the Tboli tribe during my Philippine history classes in high school and college. That was long time ago and not much had remained in my aging brain. All I remember is their colorful cultural outfits. I am looking forward to the other episodes you’ll bring us in the days to come. It’s always delightful to see the parts of the Philippines through a foreigner’s eye. Thanks.

I am here in California and still struggling to get out of our place to once more enjoy the outside.Filipinos will give you the shirts off their backs and share whatever they have..I am pretty sure you are aware of that.David is one prime example.
