Half way there! ;) Its a lifetime investment, buy once cry once. our stones outlive all others including man made and diamond plates, and if you break it just send it in for a free replacement. Thats our lifetime warranty, you wont wear one of these stones out in a lifetime of use they dont dish out. NaturalWhetstoneSharpening.com if you want to learn more
Is there any difference between the Indonesian jade and the green jade? Also, does length of the stone help much? I like the 3" survival stone on the website, but is it better to use a longer stone?
Thanks for your comment Luckyboy YT! The two different types of jade mentioned are mostly the same for sharpening. With practice a 3" sharpening stone isnt much different than a 4" pendant. That said a larger stone also helps remove more metal. Our jasper stones also sharpen nearly identically to jade just less durable but still lifetime warrantied.
Hey thanks! It’s a great adventure jacket. It’s the Anorak No. 8 by Fjallraven, it’s made out of G1000 fabric which is very tough and rip resistant, and you can wax it to make it waterproof.
Duker! , thank you for your appreciation of our work. Check out our community group right now my partner, Zak Reinhart is managing sales while I am on deployment. He’s got stones available here m.facebook.com/groups/1676642489259386/
I have never been able to get buck knives razor sharp until I got a piece of cut jade. Holy moses that's a razor hone. I'm going to look for your website hope you are still in operation
I use my jasper barber hone to finish every knife now. My Khukuri is like a cutthroat razor along the curved portion. Jasper for me the best, though I’m yet to try jade.
Awesome Video! I have two of your jade stones. I have the dog tag pendant and also the same stone in your video. Thanks for the tutorial as I was wondering about sharpening my kukri.
@@WildWhetstones Your much welcome! I get a lot of people asking what type of pendant is around my neck. Believe it or not the dog tag pendant is the one I wear the most and as always I carry the Viking in a cargo pocket in my slacks I have on. One is none and two is better. I do my best to send people your way. Your channel is the best. Blessing
Hello Gabriel, Tim from Blue Dragonfly Khukuri s, said in a TH-cam video that he did, that you sold the Jade, and Jasper stones in thin cylindrical stones about four inches long. I couldn’t find them anywhere on your website. Do you not have them anymore?
Dean thank you I really appreciate that, what part did you like the best? what helped you? what do you want to see in our next kukri content video or viking whetstone video?
Eric Baron Jade is stronger than jasper, both are impervious to dishing but jade is going to be able to take a hard hit without breaking where jasper might cleave If dropped hard
That sounds like you can’t afford it so you haven’t tried it, if you haven’t tried one of my stones how can you comment ? if the $250 range for a nice jade pendant with a warranty doesn’t work for you, perhaps try the $50 range stuff I have. If not that’s cool too it’s not for everyone.
Nice video I know someone who uses jade to sharpen and it does a amazing job. Out of my price range take me two yrs of saving to get one
