This is an example of some of the finest "disc jockey" material recorded in an era that I consider the "golden age of radio". I was part of that era in a smaller market. I am so happy that I was part of it, although I didn't realize at the time that we were in such an era. I am sad to report it is gone now. Thank goodness we still have recorded audio to celebrate these great talents!
i love the commercials as much as i love hearing Landecker. He is a legend and there will never be another like him... and this is pure gold to my ears!
I live in southern Michigan, probably about 30 miles away from where John Landecker grew up. And it was cool, about an hour before sunset you could always hear WLS and it came in here like a ton of bricks. Used to listen to him a lot, love the boogie checks
I'm trying to launch a movement I want this type of radio to come back to America don't give a f*** about the rest of the world if this point that start with America what do we have to do to launch this thing come on you guys weigh in somebody tell me

His mother's maiden name was 'Records', and they gave it to John as his middle name. Truth!
