To Ash and Ryan, I listened to Distant Exofilth (2 times). I can see that it is in your tastes Ash based on the sets you made. It pleased my current need for heavyness, but it is not something I enjoyed very much. After two listening I hadn't something to hang on (taht was memorable). Mostly chug chug guitar riffs, brttttt brt brttt double base drum, and breakdowns like we often see in the gendra. To give you an idea, recently I listened to some channels on YT that play detah metal on a turn table. I listened to old school death like Suffocation_ Peirced Within, Cannibal Corpse, etc. The death I like is things like Obscura, Necrophagist, Death, etc. What I like is those bands are riff factory, the riffs are groovy and memorable. The drums have more intricacy than just straigth double bass. So I have harder time with all genre with "core" in the name since generally it lacks those features. I prefer when music is focus on song writting, have some progressive elements. Thanks, for suggesting nontheless. I'm still open for suggestions, but Distant not the kind of stuff I would return back on a regular basis.
Lol it's all good Baggins. Distant was just something I threw out there cause they came out with a new song Exofilth. I'm glad you at least tried it's all good. My heavy is different then what others considered heavy. I'm a very hyper person and that's why I vibe with deathcore and slamcore.
645213 is how I would rank these. I liked 6 even better on my 2nd listen. Moon Tooth had some good parts, but the vocals were so high in the mix. It sounded off.
Fantastic set! All new bands to me and I REALLY enjoyed them all!!!
3,2,1 on the Moontooth songs

Shadow of Intent and Lorna Shore you probably would like more of.
Necrophagist I don't mind but to me the vocals stay in the same tone and just kinda boring , Cannibal Corpse I do enjoy.
Nice catch, Moon Tooth like Dream Theater are from Long Island. I am sure they have at least heard them...
Ohh nice background there!
