Good to see you after our flights in Stanley Park Car Park for a great chat, keep up your quality updates mate, 👍 Thank you about the mention concerning my health I will get answers to what's wrong and keep going 👍
Painfully slow progress being made here, week to go before we play Forest so don't think we're going to see this completed by then and probably find this build will take at least a couple more months. Would be great in the project manager or LFC could update a revised timetable and let us know when the building site status will be done as well as when the Anfield Road might be open to vehicle access. Anyone thinking this might be Christmas or early New Year 2025
Thanks for the update. It’ll look pretty good when finally done, but stadiums around Europe are really moving on with more interesting designs. At some point this style will look dated, if not already. At least the capacity has increased and the atmosphere will still be as good as it gets at a football match.
Not dated but unique. Does anything about Anfield look like it's been around since 1878? It will keep evolving and continue to remain historical and relevant for its time.
@@fromthefountofyouth - it’s the cladding thing. When you look at the Bernabau, or the Allianz Arena (even the new Everton stadium) it seems a bit behind the times.
All these new stadiums will look dated too, what is the current trend now will look dated in short time. The stadium will evolve through the decades as it has for past 130+ years. A stadium updated stand by stand needs to compliment existing stands. Everton's stadium has already caused them financial issues, Bayern also had to abandon their historic home. Playing in the same stadium where your entire (and incredibly successful) history took place is worth the small price of aesthetics not being on trend.
On the bottom 2 or 3 row seats of the kopp I think there's arms on them probably because that's where the older people sit, they don't stand up all game with the rail seats that's all I can think of
They couldn't even if they wanted too. The roof supports sit in the corners of each stand. The whole ground would have to be demolished with cantilever roof supports like Old Trafford and St James park @@nickparrott5025
Just wanna say ..this has been one of the longest extensions ever, .. however with another 900 people its the second biggest in the land....spurs, westham and arsenal and cant expand...so we're in a good place.
CP Thanks for every video you've done, will stay with you till the end. @jiminycrint perhaps lots of stadiums already look alike - see Emerates and others in Portugal designed by the same architecs. Anfield surrounded by housing brings it's uniqueness and issues in terms of expansion. Perhaps our ground will always be unique rather than dated. Do we want a symmectrical stadium that looks like others that simply provides more seats, that won't be afforded to Liverpudlians.
They're still working on it! Absolute incompetence. Everton's new stadium is almost built and these jokers can't even finish ONE stand. When is the Kop going to get knocked down and rebuilt? It should be modelled on the Yellow Wall in terms of size or even bigger with tickets going to working class locals and young people. Tourists by invitation only exactly like the Yellow Wall. If this was China or the U.S it would be done in a few weeks. Why isn't there protests? The most famous stand in the world needs to look far more impressive. Watch people with no imagination start saying we can't expand because of this and that instead of looking for solutions and making it happen.
Seems a bit that not everyone is equal anymore. Different sections for every sensitive group. You can even see some seats on the lowest row especially for obese😢 On the Kop?😢
im with you on this one, I totally disagree with allowing oap, tourists and any one who can't sing, stand for the 110mins you don't belong in the KOP. its meant for the hardly fans

Likewise mate, we will have to get together towards the end and do a joint video for a change.
@@cp-overviewsounds good to me to do a joint vid near the end which I hope finally is soon. Thanks again mate 👍

The fitting of the cladding is shocking! Who’s signed off on that!
Thanks for another great update and love those skyline shots over the city
slowly getting there . another month i would like to believe
Nice one. Thanks for the video as always! Look forward to the day when the Kop & the Kenny are redeveloped!
Nice view from the hospitality boxes, some galvanised railings.
Just hope the fans dont tie their banners to it 😂
Horrible final trimming. Thank you again for the good work and great zoom
The trim is kinked. Seems they drove the screws too tight.
The seats with arm rests on the Kop are for hospitality. They go to UEFA for European matches. I don't know if they're hospitality for other games.
On the seats with the arms on the front rows. They are accessibility seats for people who need extra care who aren't necessarily in a wheel chair.
Thanks, i thought it would probably be something like that.
Cheers for the update lad YNWA

Yes, i got it purely for the zoom

@@wickedjuice - these are fair points. Cannot disagree!
This expansion has almost took the same amount of time as the new Everton stadium.. what’s going on.

The Kop seats with arm rests are for hospitality. UEFA require Liverpool to make a number of Kop seats available for them for European matches.
It's rather odd to design the expansion not to be in line with the Main Stand.. blocking the chance to fill up the corners in the future..
Corners can't be filled in because the main supports are in the way
The club have said they want the stands to be separate and will never fill in the corners
They couldn't even if they wanted too. The roof supports sit in the corners of each stand. The whole ground would have to be demolished with cantilever roof supports like Old Trafford and St James park @@nickparrott5025
@@redsutn9597 exactly the point.. why designed it that way to block any chance of future upgrades..
@@nickparrott5025 why?
How many rows are going in CP in lower Annie road end 2/3 ?

Arsenal have just announced they are looking to expand as are WH to 70,000. Spurs is currently a thousand or so bigger
It’s not a competition.

LFC should build a multi story car park where the current car parking is better for future events and a money spinner 6 - 10k car spaces
Is it going to expand to 80,000 spectators???
Not anytime soon, roads and houses are preventing anything happening quickly
Shambolic build. 18mths after initial completion and still unclear when it will be finished. Embarrasing.
Extensions are way harder than new builds.

The obese deserve to go the games too. What do you expect? That they be locked in the basement with the key thrown away?
