I found an older model of this HD loom that someone was throwing away. Its treadles were broken, some parts were missing, etc. I made some of the missing parts, such as new hickory treadles, bought some supplies from a hardware store, from a weaving store, and from Harrisville Designs, who were very helpful. I've watched many how-to videos on different topics, and this video is definitely the most detailed and clearest instructional video I have ever seen. It was easy to see the differences between my older model and this model, and they were no problem. Thank you, Harrison Designs!

This video is very informative. I received a used loom and the person that delivered put most of it together leaving me to order parts and finish the assembly. Although I watched her and wrote some notes by time my parts arrived I had forgotten everything. I’m so excited now to finish and start weaving. Your company was so helpful on the phone and I will definitely recommend Harrisville Design for anyone interested in weaving. I absolutely love the style and structure of my new to me loom.

I have had issues with the brake system on my HD floor loom and your video was a life saver. The loop end of the brake cord without the chain was never put on the screw before brake bar went on top. Next I'm replacing the leather cords as one broke as I was attempting to get a larger shed.

I used a Harrisville 4 treddle, 4 harness loom. A dobby was suggested, but I have sinus problems and found the castle design easier as could look up to see my instructions. I took weaving in my 2 art classes in college and loved it better than the LeClerc loom; however, it would take me forever to afford my own loom though. I didn't realize there was so much work just to assemble a loom, but this video will work if I should get a loom eventually. I have just a small basement apt. now.
