    I have never really liked Mixed Media….but this!??? Let me count the ways! What fun this all was, loved the colors you used and the layering of papers inks and stamped images! Can’t wait to give this a try! This would make a great cover page for a mini book, a wonderful image for a card…front, I’m sure I will think of lots of great idea’s from these beautiful subtle layers! Thanks!

      Mix media is not really my thing. I’m a clean and simple card maker. Trying to dab into some mixed media. Thinking about getting the distress ink sprayers. I have distress oxide inks but I don’t use them. Loving your creativity. New sub here.

    • @Tiffany.Solorio
      @Tiffany.Solorio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheSpanishClassroom Hello. It is funny because my cards are more simple(ish) But I love mixed media. I would try to use the inks by smooshing them on a craft mat and adding a little water then smooshing some heavy cardstock in to it. It is a little hard to explain but if you try that first and like it you may like sprays. But I would try to use what you have first before investing in something new. Tim Holtz has had some amazing lives the past few weeks doing basic techniques with the inks, sprays and more. Also one of my favorite mixed media card makers you can find here. instagram.com/luv2papercraft/ I hope this helps. Thanks so much!!

    Hit the spot! This video hit the mark with me because I make cards so I don't do journal pages or any other type of crafting so alot of times it is hard to imagine how to incorporate the mixed media into a smaller size. This was just a fantastic video for that in particular. I love all of your videos and try to learn what I can, but this really helped because it showed incorporation of the stamps, as well as the center focal point on a smaller size. Really enjoyed this and would love to see more like this video. How to start and finish a smaller project but still use a mixed media technique. Just great!

    For me, the gesso itself is texture as well - I never spread it evenly. My Mixed Media projects are always imperfect and "unbalanced". And of course, I love to use leftovers which fit literally nowhere and don't even match each other. This is the only technique where I never worry about messing omething up - there is no wrong :-)

    I was inspired to get out my alcohol inks after watching one of your videos and try some lifting using stencils. My question is .. are the pearl alcohol inks not compatible with the lifting technique?
    Didn't have any luck so I added regular inks over the pearl inks but still wasn't able to lift in that area.
    Sorry that this question is unrelated to this video but I just went back to your latest post. Thanks for any suggestions that you may have.

    • @Tiffany.Solorio
      @Tiffany.Solorio  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am so glad you got inspired! The alcohol lift ink does not really work on pearls, alloys or mixatives. I have had some luck if I stamp it a few times but sadly it doesn't work that well. I hope this helps.
