The bites have been fire on the Quintana jetty this past week we cought a total of 6 huge black drums in 2 days 🙌🏼 Lots of lady fish ribbon fish and specs 🔥🔥
I caught my first 20in flounder last week been fishing for years and have never got one over 18in. I know some people catch them all the time but not me was a good moment.
Most excellent day of fishing for you!!! Those who do that count thing for flounders are a bunch of rookies who don't know how to convey a proper hook up on them flounders! Its not about the count method, its the feel of the pole lift. Anyways, I enjoyed it!!!
Hi. I gotta to say I am very impress with your content on Patreon. I have a boat and mostly fish from boat but been kinda looking and wanting to try Kayak fishing since that look fun. I have no idea where to launch and fish. I subscribed to you lt Patreon and it very in depth details. Thank you.
I'm wanting to get in to kayak fishing. I've always has a some kind of boat and motor, but I sold my last one to try my hand at kayak fishing. What kind of rig do you have and where did you buy it from? All I can seem to find are white water kayaks for running rivers. Any suggestions? Looks like you have all you need. Any help / suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again...Tom
Nice video. I've been targeting flounder every time I make it out to the Galveston area, but can't seem to make it work. I'll try the tail-clipping trick next time. Also, I never realized how much flounders resemble sea turtles coloration until I saw a video from this vantage point. Do keeper reds have worms during the summer, or just the bigger ones?
What was the effect of the closing up of rollover pass to East Bay fishing? I am in another part of the state now. Had good luck at Hanna’s and unbelievable fall lunch at big Pasture Bayou, many years ago.
@@MDLRFishing. OK. Remember this. Fall cold front blows through. Best 2 tidal changes, launch at Charpio, go through boat cut ant take a right hugging the shore. I did this before or at daylight. Couple of miles down is the entrance to Big Pasture Bayou. Running tide, in or out, I pulled big spoons across that bottle neck going back into that system. 1985 after Alishia Hurricane. North wind put a chill the air. Reds running through there like nobody’s business. Had 2 kids and another Dad. We limited up back then. Released all less than 19” most 23” to 27. 1 29”. Sounds greedy, but as it turns out, the freeze hit and all died anyway. Fall tides give them a smorgasbord of snails.
WHAT SMALL TOWN WERE U AT ?? I LIVE IN PALACIOS TX BERLS EYE CAME RIGHT THROUGH HERE. DAD ALWAYS SAID FISHING IS BEST AFTER A HIRRICAN. BEING ITS PUSHING HIGH TIDE INLAND. GOOD FISHING

That’s what it’s about! I don’t care what others do, it’s about the experience when it happens to me. Congrats on the upgrade!
Spammed in the marsh! LOL! A catchy title! Impressive flounder Mark! Nice job!

Your knowledge and expertise of what to do and how to do it is impressive.

So how do you keep from getting in the grass/moss on the bottom?
Not sure I understand what you mean.
Told you after a big blow(hurricane), the bite gets crazy! Stay steady and you can slam the doormat flounder!!
🙌
Nice current to work!
Indeed!
More catch and cooks please....
I second that..
Great video looks like a good day
Thanks 👍
Where do u launch ur kayak from? Do u think they allow small jetboat to be on marsh water?

It’s always better to eat fresh than to eat frozen . You should keep your bag with you !!!!!
🤙
Nice catches!

It doesn’t matter what size they are. Any red can get worms.
where do i launch?

Not sure, I don’t fish east bay that much.

will your honey holes be in jeopardy if you just state the name of this "small fishing town" in your headline?
I don’t have honey holes. Fish will be there one day and gone the next.

We used to call really small specks “cigar fish.” Obvious reason!
Makes sense.
My apology, I'm not local, I'm moving to the area, what is the city name? Galveston ??
Hey Mark ! did Chris miss out
He hasn’t been interested in kayak fishing lately.
There bigger and darker color. Not normal
Great video, Mark!
Thanks!
