    I have been playing for 25 years and every now and then I need a tip here or a chord there and believe me there are some idiots putting lessons on here. This is great for all levels. Why 6 people put a thumbs down is beyond me.

    If you listen carefully to this Stones' recording, you will notice that later in the song, keith adds his second finger to the B strong when playing the Eb+9 when barring the 8th and 5th frets. This changes the chord to create a nice variation to the emotional voicing of the chord. Quite masterful keith!

    When coupled with the sheet music (which costs less than $3), these are truly excellent lessons. I have been playing in Open G tuning for more than a year. I can play almost every Open G Stones' song. Yet, I still learned a lot from this and other lessons, particularly the fills and leads. Keep up the good work!

    • @jackinvox
      @jackinvox 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      An Epiphone Lennon “1965” Casino was used on this lesson. Note the P-90 pickups, parallelogram fingerboard inlays, and where the neck joins the body (16th fret, not the 19th).

    Hi Ray: We are having a problem with IE. You can get all the TAB from our book: The Rolling Stones Ultimate Easy Play-Along. The UEPA series of books (with video, tracks and custom mix software) is available from the Alfred site or Amazon or Musicians Friend. Thanks!

  • @jackinvox
    @jackinvox 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's true and nowhere in this lesson or in the accompanying TAB transcription will you see a single note played on the 6th string. The tuning reference at the beginning of this lesson is for the benefit of players who don't want to remove a string from their guitar (as Keith does).

  • @aaronstang21
    @aaronstang21 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sorry you were disappointed. We'll work on our presentation. You are correct. We are hoping to sell the music TAB. Alfred Music is the official "print music" publisher for the Stones. The Stones have graciously given us permission to post these videos for free on the web, in hopes that a percentage of fans will purchase the legitimately sanctioned guitar sheet music. The income for those sales goes mostly to the Stones. Support the arts. Don't treat them as valueless.

    Its interesting to me that this brilliant bloke is playing an Epiphone...same as John Lennon of the famous rooftop Get Back gig..(check it out) .the point I'm making is why would someone like John Lennon choose to play an epiphone when they would be given the equivalent Gibson for free anyway? I've owned both Gibsons and Epiphones and they are pretty indistinguishable ..I wonder if it was an historic affection that the Beatles had for Epiphones in the old days when they couldn't afford Gibsons?

    • @Havanacuba1985
      @Havanacuba1985 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Epiphone was a separate company then ,not just part of Gibson so the epiphone stood on its own , it was only later purchased by Gibson and used to present more affordable versions of their own models

    I think what e.g. Al Di Meola, John McLoughlin, Steve Vai, Morse, Satriani etc. etc. can think about music of Rolling Stones? 3-4 hits in all their carier - Statisfaction, Angie and what more? Ofc I am happy they still exist and whish them health but what they can do? If not the singer they wouldn't exist IMO
