I was thinking about refoaming them but I decided not to because it would've been a lot of work just for some cheap SVC subs and I wanted to use the box for some better 12s. You can get nicer ones for dirt cheap.
The punch speakers were very good just needed a refoam. The KRK-looking speakers you seem to be referring to are the yellow cone ones. They are made by Sony and they are not low end or high end they are average speakers.
@@djijspeakerguy4628 i have a pair of those sonys plastic frames and if you drop them you risk the magent falling off the yellow speaker and the tweeter just coming unglued from the crappy plastic
Noah_The_killer If you are careful with them they are good. I have the bigger version, and the woofer is a metal frame with a plastic panel with fake screws attached over it. You pry the fake-screw-panel off to take them apart. With the tweeter though, I had to glue one on to it’s mounting plate because the plastic tabs that hold the magnet, cone, plastic basket and terminals( the driver) to the beauty/mounting plate broke. COMMON ISSUE!
@@djijspeakerguy4628 i got mine at a thrift store for like nothing and i just ended up blowing the one speaker that was working cuz i didnt have the pair and the bigger verison i have seen online but do they sound good and do you know what acoustic profiles are i have 2 6.5's and i have never see the brand name

Why the studio moniters and punch speakers
They weren’t studio monitors and the punches were SVC and dry rotted
