Definitely the easiest twist fold in any of these roses. It really “prepares” a beginner in origami to get into more intermediate stuff. Mine still turned out a bit crooked, lol. You also have to be very careful in those last, molding folds, so the paper doesn't crumple. A masterful tutorial by Jo, his carefulness and patience with the paper is very admirable and exudes pure skill 👏❤
Three hours of pain and failures and I finally did it. My rose is far from perfect cuz I still has to work on petals (11:49) but ty for the guide. Practice makes perfect :)
Finished... at last... That took way longer than I expected it would. I like how 3/4th of the folding is a breeze and then it get's almost impossible. But it is perfect for mothers day, thank you!!!!
just to let yall know, if you can't make the rose with a stem in at first, make the rose without the stem, then at the end, shove a fairly sharp pencil into the spot where you put the stem and you can still put your stem in.
I made this, and it turned out horrible. But I'm going to keep trying. Question: Maybe could you make a separate more elaborate tutorial for ones who just can't understand the folding up part? I got it but my paper was creased very badly. Also, I saw you use the Color Set paper, but where could I purchase this? As well as the stem, where did you get that? Or did you make it?
i don't know,i can't craft anything with it,it's too thick and it's not really "elastic" after the creases, The one Jo uses seems (and sounds too) like it's plastified, not to mention the shimmer it makes. 3:04 in this part you can notice the hills(let's call it that way)in the center, well, mine stays totally flat.
I only have paper with a white side and a color side. If I were to make this model with my paper which side should I start on (white side or color side)?
For this type of videos, it would be better to mark corners or important angles with different colors to make it easier to see what goes where. I probably could succeed with enough motivation but the poor visibility makes me too frustrated.
Awesome! thank you for the tutorial! I'm doing tons of it and it gets better every time :)(the paper ends up wrinkling) How many of these did you do until you did it perfect?
Awesome one ! Im from malaysia .. in nmalaysia .. origami are not popular at all .. but i want introduce to them what is the real origami is .. *broken english*
Try also the Masahiro Rose! It's amazing and easy to fold: th-cam.com/video/CyEGUmvpsks/w-d-xo.html&list=PL5jDTd07plNC39iq8mi-OMw8MCWdTmeQg&index=15

Why don't you do some more designs by Davor Vinko? (I mean a tutorial)...His designs are beautiful. Also a question: can I wet fold this?
The best origami channel!!!!!!!!!!

10:33 Prepare your nerves.
100% agree. This part killed me. I was seconds away from saying fuck this and giving up. Then I finally figured it out lol.
Well,i did not. The paper i used got messed up too much, and besides,i trimmed it irregularly.
sucks to hear man. I used card stock. You can find it at most arts & craft stores.

11:38 also
I love how you say it's easier.lol Love it of course. Have you ever done any paper models?
I only have paper with a white side and a color side. If I were to make this model with my paper which side should I start on (white side or color side)?
If you follow this video with colored side up, the top of the rose will be colored

Awesome! thank you for the tutorial! I'm doing tons of it and it gets better every time :)(the paper ends up wrinkling) How many of these did you do until you did it perfect?
Is it possible to make this with a smaller size of paper?
I made a dozen of this for my girlfriend! Tnx Jo!

Concuerdo contigo amiga, tienes mucha razón.
No la he podido terminar por que esta algo complicado la forma en la que "explica'.

대박
