So am I 😁 I might start with a rectangle instead of a square like with my flapping bat model, but "no scissors, no glue" is sacred to me. 😊🙏

Wonderful tutorial. I will give it a try. I tend to require reference points for my folding as I am not very intuitive when it comes to origami. I think the only part that was a little difficult to see was folding the diagonals to make the collapse of the rose. It looks like you folded them once and then did a second fold further out to facilitate the collapse. No harm in trying. I have made plenty of paper snowballs!!

Thanks for your detailed feedback 😊🙏. I'm still learning how to create my turorials in the best possible way. Every insight from outside helps a lot.
The collapse of the rose is indeed a 2 step process. After the diagonal, there is a horizontal/vertical zig-zag fold at the center of all four sides that finishes the collapse.
Hope that helps. Happy folding 😊🙏

@@NightlyOrigami Thank you for your response. I tend to like video tutorials where the creator removes their hands from the model after each fold so that you can see how it looks. I also have issues with creators flipping the model around a lot. It is almost like they don't remember exactly how to fold it and start turning the model to refresh their memory and see how it is looking but I think the paper should only be flipped over or rotated if the folding requires it. It is just too hard to follow otherwise. Finally, I like when the creator tells me which side of the paper to start on, particularly if they are using paper that is the same color on both sides. While double sided paper may be ideal for the model, I usually like to fold a new model with inexpensive Kami for the first time and it is color on one side and white on the other. Anyway, those are just some of the things I look for in a good video tutorial. I see you have posted relatively few videos so assumed you were new to it and I really like the direction you are going. I will subscribe and hope to learn many new models from you!! Deborah

@@deborahdoesscrap Thank you so much, that really helps.
Aye, I just started to put my origami creations in video form. I have been folding Origami for almost 4 decades now, and forgot way more of my own creations than I like to admit. Time to catch them on camera.
I work as a video cutter, but my setup at home is very basic. Still working out how to optimize my process while satisfying my own perfectionism. One idea is to visualize the upcoming folds as diagrams on the model itself, like I did with my "Flapping Clapping Bat-Emblem" (th-cam.com/video/-8OvE9_3HMY/w-d-xo.html). Another one is to put a small diagram in the corner of the video. Maybe even both.
Preventing unnecessary movement of the model is surprisingly tricky. I'm an air-folder at heart. My natural folding style moves, rotates and flips the model a LOT. As you pointed out, not good for a tutorial. Takes some readjusting on my part, but I'm getting there. Every step should be as calm and clear as possible.
Good point on using double-sided paper even for models that are mono-colored. It really helps to visualize which side is which.
Removing the hands after each step: Aye, I'm with you there. Also tricky from time to time. Models not staying flat, video cuts to remove the arkward or unnecessary parts become jumpy. Still working out the best methode for me, but I'll keep that in mind.
Thanks again for your feedback. I'd love to hear from your experience with my other models, should you try them out.
